Congrats to all who have been accepted!
Same here! Complete 12/2 --> UCR 1/10.
How long does it usually take between UCR 1 and an answer?

It's not a requirement, but it's a good idea. It was one of the three essays of which you were required to write one (it's actually called the "5 Year Plan" essay in that you state how Penn will help you accomplish your plan). You should definitely submit one.softsgalore wrote:Guys...I have the worst question in the world.
So I'm on the WL and I realized, when looking at the Chicago thread because of my WL there (it's been a waity kind of week), that Penn Law requires a "Why Penn?"
I, uh...I didn't do one. I was doing my applications from internet access costing forty cents a minute over 10,000 miles from home, so I completely spaced that it was a requirement. Would sending one be a good idea, or would it draw attention to the fact that I completely ignored their Why Penn requirement in the same way I ignored the PS length limit?
LOCI at this point would probably be best. It essentially fulfills the function of a Why Penn? and would be more appropriate.softsgalore wrote:Guys...I have the worst question in the world.

In at Michigan, NYU, Cornell, UVA, and Georgetown and you think something is wrong with your app? Come off it.NikaneOkie wrote:+1QuailMan wrote:Swanky wrote:UCR for the first time today, finally!

Would LOVE some good news. Straight up rejected from Chicago today. Makes me feel like there's something wrong with my app.

You submitted a DS I believe, so you fulfilled the application requirement. I submitted a DS and didn't write a Penn 5 year plan.softsgalore wrote:Guys...I have the worst question in the world.

still very excited.
Don't worry. I think all the talk about 1/3 = Good and 1/5 = Bad was just speculation. I'm sure everything will be fine!Aggiegrad2011 wrote:01/05 is seemingly a bad day ((
LOL, ever the optimist are you. I hope you're right. I guess we'll find out on Friday or something.Shooter wrote:Don't worry. I think all the talk about 1/3 = Good and 1/5 = Bad was just speculation. I'm sure everything will be fine!Aggiegrad2011 wrote:01/05 is seemingly a bad day ((

Why are we thinking Friday? I'm dying to hear, so I hope you're right!Aggiegrad2011 wrote:I guess we'll find out on Friday or something.
No reason at all except that last Friday was the first onslaught of WLs, dings and acceptances (wasn't it?)JennBNYC wrote:Why are we thinking Friday? I'm dying to hear, so I hope you're right!Aggiegrad2011 wrote:I guess we'll find out on Friday or something.

Penn's my alma mater. . . I'd just be sad if they WL'ed/rejected me.law_monkey wrote:I was 1/5 and I got the call on 1/7, so it's definitely not a death sentence. I'm rooting for the rest of you!!!Aggiegrad2011 wrote:01/05 is seemingly a bad day ((
