Penn's admission seem to be without much rhyme or reason.. is it really THAT holistic?

I'm guessing the two dates are the application's two readers.

Was fairly expected as I'm told they have a thing for yuppies. I'm not concerned (drools over UChi). I'll probably withdraw soon.

Best of luck to everyone!!
Anyone with that cute of a 'tar deserves to be accepted. Also, can you pm me your #'s? That's weird you got into U. Chi but held at U. Penn.

For what its worth:

My personal statement was about interdisciplinary approaches to different things, including academics, and my experiences with it. One of my LOR was from a professor who conducted a seminar on interdisciplinary approaches.

When you research Penn and talk to admissions counselors, they are all about diversifying their law students (by exposing them to the freakin Wharton school, for one example haha). I got my LOR and wrote my PS before I found any of this out, and as much as we all know that its mostly LSAT/GPA that determines one's entry, I can't help but think my LOR and PS played right into their hands and they accepted me.

In short, I think my application package was thismuch more than just my GPA and LSAT.

This cheers me up, my app also had the theme of diversified learning

Maybe it's not in the area that Penn likes? But you have Chicago... :)

Yeeeeep.

At this point the only things that could really sway me would be maybe UCD (so I wouldn't have to move...), Northwestern (because of their sexy yellow ribbon program and overall awesomeness) or $ at UW (won't happen probably). Berkeley will likely reject me any minute now.

Seriously Aggie? I don't think so. I mean, who knows, but if any school is perfect for you, it seems like it is Berkeley.

Also, second UR today for me. (Submitted late October, first UR 12/23)
