For those who have been waitlisted, do you think we should attach a supplemental essay or LOCI when we reply to the waitlist email, or send it in separately? I haven't replied to the email yet letting them know I am interested in remaining on the waitlist and won't have a LOCI or supplemental essay finished for a few days

+1

Does an LOCI count as the supplemental essay or is it understood that we can submit an LOCI AND a supplemental 2 page essay?

Who else has 1/26 as their first (and only) UCR?

I went complete back on 12/14 and I'm starting to get a little antsy.

Is a quick turnaround (from the first UCR to the second) a good sign?

I'm complete 12/2, UCR1 1/10 and UCR2 1/27

There doesnt seem to be any link between turnaround, complete dates, UCR dates and decision. No one here recently seems to have anything to inspire too much worry. If you don't have a UCR2 yet, it seems unlikely that you'll get a decision this friday, but then again what the hell do I know.

Yeah Penn basically has no pattern whatsoever, so don't worry too much about your dates. And if you have your 2nd UCR this week, you may hear back or you may not. My 2nd UCR was on a Wednesday, and I heard back that Friday. But other people had both of their UCRs before me and got in a couple weeks after me. So you can get a decision literally ANY time after both UCRs. Good luck this Friday everyone!

I think my numbers are in the neighborhood (3.8x and 173), and I'm wondering if I should send a LOCI to show them that I'm really interested in Penn. I didn't write a "Why Penn" or anything. Any consensus on whether or not this is a good idea?
I have similar numbers and also stuck at the first UCR date of 1/3. Only sent a diversity statement as one of the optional essays. I think I'll just wait another couple weeks and see if there is any movement. Not planning to send LOCI.

What are your numbers?

It might just be that you are a shoe-in and the rest of us require a little more thoughtful consideration...

I'm a 171/3.5 and would consider myself borderline at Penn.

yay spykuh! hopefully we will have good news...

thelaststraw, i am definitely NOT an auto-admit. i'm a 170 retake/3.8x so borderline as well. tho i did write all three optional essays + diversity statement, which i hope helps.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
