Sounds like a good strategy, but I will add that I applied in like the first week of Sept and just now heard back, despite numbers near/above 75ths. I definitely thought I was WL destined!skippy1 wrote:I think I read in one of the BU interviews that they don't decide on apps in the order that they come in. Some (less than median I suppose) are set aside until more apps come in. I think based on recent numbers of the accepted apps, that perhaps they're first focusing on getting their median numbers set in stone before going on to less stellar apps. Who knows? Sigh.

CONGRATS TO EVERYONE
But... I'm getting very sad. According to my LSN, I went complete 11/17.

I just checked and didn't receive my complete email on 11/23, I imagine I'll be waiting until next year!

I'm willing to bet more phone calls will go out tomorrow. They seem to be coming more frequently.

It should show up as 617-353-2000. I'm a BU alum who worked on campus for most of my time there and that is the number that displays for all phone calls from a BU line.

Tomorrow is probably the last day for phone calls before the holidays. Please call me, BU, you are my #1 choice!!! <3

No one below 3.4 on LSN yet. It's gonna be a while for me, I think.

Re: BU 2011 Applicants
wow so frustrated! Of course I had to drop my phone in a snow bank last night and completely broke it. Won't get new one for a few days. I went complete 11/17, sounds like if I were to be accepted I could have possible gotten a call tomorrow! anyway, does anyone know how long after the phone call that their acceptance letter came???

For almost all cell companies, you can check your messages remotely. Look into it.

Re: BU 2011 Applicants
Looks like BU's accepting applicants based on median+/75ths+ right now (not based on complete date).
If anyone is close to or below BU's medians, you probably won't hear back until 2011.

Re: BU 2011 Applicants
Congrats to everyone who is in!
I know I've asked this question before but no one answered it , but how do they inform you that they have rejected you or waitlisted you?
I'm asking again because I just saw on LSN that some people with higher numbers than mine have been rejected or waitlisted, and as of last week I'm still UR (went UR 11/22) and I'm starting to get really nervous (grated, I just sent them a Why BU essay so I'm probably just asking for them to take their sweet time by doing that)
Edit: According to LSN they haven't rejected anyone yet. I looked at BC by accident (reasons I probably won't get in)

Re: BU 2011 Applicants
I don't think an UR date of 11/22 is any reason to be stressed. Many people with earlier dates haven't heard back, and that's just from the small self selected sample of tls. 4 weeks is a very short time considering. My friend who's a 2L at Davis said they just finished assembling their admissions committed about a week ago. As anxious as I am, I think it's reasonable these things take a bit of time.gin wrote:Congrats to everyone who is in!

*edit: I don't know how they reject/WL people, but I imagine through regular mail. If you search back in the thread you may find that answer.

not when your phone line is suspended. when you dial my number it says "this number is temporarily out of service"Eugenie Danglars wrote:For almost all cell companies, you can check your messages remotely. Look into it.

FWIW I was below median GPA and above median LSAT.tttlllsss wrote:Looks like BU's accepting applicants based on median+/75ths+ right now (not based on complete date).
If anyone is close to or below BU's medians, you probably won't hear back until 2011.

Re: BU 2011 Applicants
Do the acceptance packets have scholly information in them? Sorry if this has already been asked on this thread, I know its annoying. My packet was sent to school and I am at home now, so I was just wondering if it was worth having someone open it and read it for me or not.

Ok, but traditional splitters usually don't have a hard time getting in if their GPAs are decent enough. Show me a reverse splitter who's been accepted to BU so far...uk4220 wrote:+1scruffs mcguff wrote:FWIW I was below median GPA and above median LSAT.tttlllsss wrote:Looks like BU's accepting applicants based on median+/75ths+ right now (not based on complete date).
