opinions on e-mailing about scholarship money.... wait a week or two to gather the majority of decisions from law schools and to see if I get a separate mailing... or do it right away? if right away, any suggestions on how to best come across?

Did you mean regarding decisions or $?

I went complete 1/25 and was accepted 2/25. Great call to receive on a Friday!

I e mailed admissions and they said a decision letter would be mailed Thursday.

Acceptances have generally come by phone right? So if I don't get a phone call by Thursday, I suppose "that's that'.

Got a letter yesterday with 20k per year. I was accepted late December so, yes, scholarship info can still come at any time.

Actually the offer was 15k merit-based and 5k need-based and other loan approval info as well so doing everything in one letter for some probably explains the wait.

So you e-mailed the admissions office just asking if they had a decision yet? I sent my app in November and I'm getting very impatient.

Well, I explained some personal circumstances wherein my wife has to submit a list of residencies she wants by March 10th, and half of her choices are dependent upon whether I have the option of BU or not.

Just got an email with 10k a year, need-based Alumni Scholarship. I'm going to email them about my 28k/year from WUSTL and see if they can help me out any- I really <3 Boston :-)

Oh, and I was admitted mid-January, so there was quite a lag before scholly info came out.

Does anyone know if this means I'm out of the running for the PI scholly?

Hmmm well is that 10k/y merit? It sounds like need. I'm not sure why I haven't gotten any merit info since my numbers twins have gotten them :(

Yup it's needs based. I'm a little bummed I didn't get merit money either, since my LSAT is way high for them. Probably my below 25th GPA, darnit :-p

Congrats to the others getting $! $ is $ whether its need or merit-based, right (as long as its not a loan that you have to pay back). :)

In response to the questions: yes, it came way after my acceptance; I was accepted 1/31... I negotiated with a few hefty schollies in a couple 19-28th ranked schools.

How did you negotiate (like what did you say, and how hard did you haggle, lol) and how long ago? I got my packet about two weeks ago and sent them my GW offer with a short letter a few days later.

I got the PI scholly (30K/year), was notified via phone on president's day, then got the packet by friday.
