In via phonecall today! I was complete late November; I requested a status check last week and they said my file was only "ready for review," so this was a little unexpected!

Hi everyone. I was accepted a few hours ago via phone! Happy valentines day indeed. I never asked for a status update, but I sent in all my materials in mid December.

I got my call at 5:30 EST, so I wouldn't give up hope for today just yet!

I just called. They said "I should receive a decision by the end of the month". Only 6 months for a decision, that's not too bad!!!

I said "Hi, it's been quite some time since I went complete, I was wondering if I could have any sort of update in my file, or if there's anything more you guys need from me" and the (very nice) girl on the phone said "it look like you're still in review, you should have an admissions decision by the end of the month. Thank you for being patient."

If you get a scholarship, does the info come right in the acceptance packet at BU?

I know BU says that it may be awarded anytime, but I am curious as to what the general trend is.

Nope, your scholarship will arrive around 2 weeks later in a small envelope. I got mine today after being admitted on 1/28.

Just as an fyi, mine came about two business days later after my acceptance packet which would have been around the same date as Futureinlaw did above. They may have done scholly $$s in batches.

just to also add something, mine came with the acceptance packet. basically ya never know?

FWIW, from what BU finaid has told me, you can receive a merit award in your acceptance packet or anytime thereafter "based on a variety of factors"... So, yes, basically you never know
