I got my admit email with no mention of merit schollies, can anyone tell me if that is separate or not?

For all the people with high numbers who were confused about getting waitlisted, I can now testify that yield protection at BU is a real thing.

I was put on the WL, with a 168/3.92, in early April. I was just sitting down to write a LOCI yesterday when I got a call from the Assistant Directors of Admissions at BU admitting me, even though an admissions person I spoke with a couple weeks ago said that no one would be admitted off the WL until late May.

Since I hadn't received an initial merit aid offer, I emailed the financial aid office yesterday and casually mentioned my 60K offer from UCLA. They responded first thing this morning with a 75K offer. If that isn't YP, what is?

I am very excited, as BU is pretty much my top choice. I was really sad when I got on the WL, but I guess now I am vindicated. Anyway, there is hope for others!

just got a WL update saying that there will be a limited number of seats opening up, but the process will continue throughout the summer :/

Just got in off the waitlist. Does anyone know how BU is with need aid? Fordham gave me a great package and I love the school, but will definitely consider BU if it is notably cheaper.

I haven't received notification about need-based determination yet, but as a fellow admit from the waitlist, I can tell you that I got the admit email a few days later with 15K per in merit, which I was able to negotiate up....

Fordham on the other hand has been quite stingy with $$ with me, hence my withdrawal from there...

congrats man, my guess is no....my email took two days, U.S. mail package cam yesterday (day deposit is due)

Deposit will be probably be due a week from now...

well if it makes you feel any better they might be scrambling to fill some spots or something.. my numbers arent very competitive since they reduced the class size by 30 seats or whatever it is

Forgot to update. I received email notification of admission in late afternoon last Fri. Admission letter, scholarship letter attached, along with an international student form. Got 20K annually.

165 Oct, 169 Feb, rejected in Jan, asked for reconsideration after Feb LSAT score come out. foreign educated, no gpa. Received a call in later March and waitlisted right after the call.

Mailed in printed LOCI in early April, mentioned other admissions (omitted scholarship), said BU is my first choice, and capitalled FIRST. Checked out the website and rephrased some compliments into my letter.
