I called earlier today because I had not received a complete e-mail. The lady told me that my file was complete and that they will begin reviewing applications next week.

If you search on LSN, there are a handful of people who have already received admits from BU.
So, by " next week", does that pertain specifically to your file?

Maybe they wanted to whet our appetites by letting a few people in early, only to wait a couple months before letting the rest know their fate.

I applied 11/20 and received that email 11/23. That is as far as they go with status checkers, which I actually prefer to a website I feel the need to check far too frequently.

Glancing on LSN, most of those accepted have strong numbers, but there aren't any auto-admits per se.

Hey, I applied 11/13 or 14, got application received email on the 15th and complete email on the 18th. So it was all pretty quick.
You might want to contact them and see whats happening with your app

The longer wait until going complete may just be an indication that there are a lot more apps now than there were a month or more ago.

2L here. I know this probably won't make the wait any easier, but when I applied (around September), they didn't get back to me until Februrary. But, when they did, the ball got rolling quickly, and I quickly got 25k/yr in scholarships. So I wouldn't worry too much. It's not that late in the cycle, unless I was some sort of exception.

True...the only reason I'm worried is that my status checker for Santa Clara says they haven't received my LSDAS report (even the LSDAS shows it was sent 11/22), which is making me worried that BU hasn't received it, yet, either. Anyway, I guess it can't hurt to call them tomorrow...?
