Phone calls. BU was one of the earliest schools I heard back from.

I had one.
Did you request one? My numbers are waiver worthy, but I never remember seeing an email.
I got one...a week after I had already applied

C'mon, BU, get it together!
Sorry, Eugenie, just saw this. Yeah, I sent on 10/23, received confirmation of receipt on 10/28, and went complete this past Friday. It looks like they are a little delayed in processing. Also, according to their website, they do not have a status checker, but if it has been more than 10 business days since submission and you haven't received confirmation of receipt, you can e-mail them to get a status check.

I got one upon request in September.

I love BU! One of my top choices!

I submitted Nov 5/6. I applied here last cycle but did so mid to end of December. I hope applying over a month earlier will help my chances. *crosses fingers*

I emailed them and asked for a waiver. Heard back within 4 hours approving it.

I was too scared to email them for one.
Plus, being a non-URM, I'm not sure my #s are strong enough to receive it.

Because they said no or because they didn't respond?

It would be very odd if they didn't give you a waiver. You can't YP someone who hasn't even applied yet (and probably won't even bother without a fee waiver).

Good question. It was a while ago, but I think they just didn't respond. Broke my little splitter heart.

I'm a 169/3.83 and they flat out denied my request via email, and promptly too. They told me they only gave out need based waivers (and I'm not the only one who got this response - check the fee waiver thread). They told me the same thing in person at a law school fair when I inquired (persistance is usually a good thing  ). So when the post October LSAT score release initiated the wave of merit-based fee waivers, I started getting a little suspicious that BU yp's with fee waivers? :?

Worth a shot to ask though.

I had a fee waiver, but it was need based. Maybe the put the poor kids at the bottom of the pile.

I got a fee waiver upon request. I'm international...maybe that helped?

In the time it took you to reprimand him or her, you could have answered the question.

I only applied to BU because of the fee waiver. But the more research I do about the school, the more of a perfect match it seems for me. As long as I get admitted with some scholly $$$ (Cost of living in Boston is ridiculous!!) This is def one of my top 2 choices.

BTW, the waiver was not need based!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
