If you mean the updates in this thread, I believe we are all/mostly reserve people.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean.

Have people gotten in off the waitlist yet?

Reserve =/= Waitlist.

But yes, people have gotten in off reserve.

I have not heard of anyone getting in off the actual WL yet, and I would be pretty miffed if people have.

What is the difference?

Reserve is like a pre-waitlist. Some batches will get in now to cover anyone who didn't deposit, some will be put on the official summer waitlist and possibly trinkle in.

It's a mystery. Those on reserve can be accepted, rejected or waitlisted. Waitlisted applicants can be accepted or expire when classes begin & no more spaces are available. Many schools, not sure about Cornell, also reject waitlisted applicants, but those schools don't have a "reserve" or "hold" status to the best of my best guessing abilities.

Once you go on the official waitlist you can at least request an interview.

Well, then I'm expecting a speedy rejection. :lol:

Man... it's been so long (two months) since I've been involved in speculation about how the admissions committee is conducting the review process. Alphabetical? Two reviews? One review? Number of syllables in middle name? If LSAT score is divisible by the adcom's age?

After looking through all the posts, I've deduced the Cornell review formula:
--ImageRemoved-- = Review Order

I'm not positive that whole equation isn't upside down...

The relative humidity today in Ithaca is 62%, which, historically speaking, bodes well for decisions to be released. But with a barometric pressure of 29.94 it looks like we're out of luck

True statement. I called and asked the same last week.

About a month ago, I asked my boss to write me a recommendation so I could add it to the file Cornell has on me. I went into review again yesterday and today my boss stops by and asks me what I'd like that recommendation to say. :|

Oh shizzle... So far no emails, so I'll take that as a good thing.

This is making me almost as crazy as waiting for LSAT scores. Every day I wake up at 330, double check to make sure I didn't miss any calls, and then apprehensively check my email. And every day, it's neither elation nor disappointment, just another day of nothing.
