Thanks everyone for the congrats!

Unfortunately, my parent's will not be filing their taxes by March 15 (they never do) so I think I'll be shit out of luck with money from Cornell. Oh well...I can sell a third of my liver and still function more or less.

On FAFSA, yes. However, Cornell requires you to send copies of your parent's 2010 tax return based on the information from their site. I've just emailed them asking if a 2009 return would suffice, so we'll see what they say.

woah, that would be crazy if they didn't let you use 2009 data! My parents don't have their shit together so I would be SOL in that case too... Let us know what they say?

@SpaceP: this can't be the first time they'll have been confronted with this. I imagine you'll be fine.

send them you and your parents 2009 tax returns and attach a letter that says you'll forward the 2010 returns as soon as they're complete (this is what I've sent to every school and each school says this is great)

I'll definitely let you guys know. LSN paints a pretty confusing picture when it comes to aid from Cornell...but my guess is that most people prefer to withdraw than go through the endless hurdles of NeedAccess/FAFSA/tax returns/Cornell financial aid form/sexual favors?--to receive any sort of financial reward. So here's hoping!

Trufax. Also, I'm kind of hoping we actually end up at school together. :)
