Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
it's interesting to look at LSN because there doesn't seem to be a real pattern...those who sent and went complete around the time I did were accepted at the beginning of Feb and mid-March... with waitlists/rejects all over the place too.
here's to hoping they get to mine for the first week of feb (lol@Cornell having my file under review for only two weeks before making a decision).

Oh, I have a new processing date. It seems like from what I've seen in the rest of this thread, things might start to move a lot more quickly now. I hope so anyway. I don't want to end up making a decision, get a late decision that I really like, and then not really have time to change it.

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
Submitted 12/1, made a dumb mistake on LSAC and didn't assign my LOR's. Realized this 1/1, but am STILL processing almost a month after correcting the problem. My numbers make me a consider so I might have messed up my chances

Agreed. Cornell's timing is not too friendly for someone who wants to take his or her sweet time in decidingsubtle wrote:Oh, I have a new processing date. Although I like Cornell and would be happy to go there, I don't want to rush into any decision because deposits are due a few weeks after I get my admit packet

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
Everyone processes until what feels like the end of eternity. I don't know how your mistake may have affected your chances, but I can tell you that the processing thing is normal. Get comfy.
Modmx: EXACTLY!! I'm starting to realize I'm just going to need to rank the schools as if I got into all of them and decide from there. And then when it gets to be time to make a decision, just go with the top choice that has already accepted me. It's going to make me really sad if my top choice hasn't given me an answer either way by that time. I'm really, really nervous about it.

Yes, 100% agreed with you. Start doing your research now as if you're already in and plan accordingly. I've been a bit active on the Cornell Students Taking Questions thread so that I can stay on top of everything Cornell.Modmx: EXACTLY!! Then again, I need a game changer from PENN

Thanks subtle!
I'm from Cali so I'm still debating between staying or going to the East Coast.

Personally, I prefer the east coast over the west, but that's me. What do you think you might want to do?

+1, sort of. I'm from LA but I do place the East Coast over the West Coast for law school. Would love to study in New York, DC, Boston, etc. But I would like to re-locate back to LA at some point. Weather is too great to pass up.subtle wrote:Personally, I prefer the east coast over the west, but that's me. What do you think you might want to do?

I had heard of GULC doing that, but not Cornell (at least not that I remember from since I've been in TT)LawSchoolPorFavor wrote:One of my recommenders just received a thank you note from admissions. Precedent?

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
does Cornell ever make application decisions on Mondays? Or has anyone gotten a decision to know if there is a pattern....
