Has everyone with decisions had 2 UR dates?

Thanks, it does immensely. I submitted 10/26, so I am a little sad to be still UR (since 12/1 --> 12/7). But my complete date was 11/19 - a little later than most who have heard back today - so perhaps I will hear in the next few days.

Hooray for everyone who heard this morning!
Maybe us 12/7ers will hear (good things) tomorrow?
yes! =)
+1.

FWIW, I've had 2 UR dates and no decision (yet.)

UR 12/1 ->12/2

Just went 12/1 ----> 12/9. Submitted 10/30 and went complete end of November. Ah, so nervous! So, it's been two updates and then decision so far?

Deferred today to regular admissions. Glorified waitlist. Lame.

EDIT for correct dates

Me too. Bummer. How badly does this diminish our chances of admission?
It depends. They didn't just defer candidates on the cusp like me. They deferred quite a few overqualified applicants as well. Cornell seems to be practicing a bit of YP this cycle.
Just to clarify, this isn't the same as the regular waitlist, right?

No. So basically they will review our files again after 2/1. I assume that means after they've admitted, denied, and WL everyone else, they will review us again. Kind of like if we submitted on Feb 1.

In this morning via email, 170, 3.53, submitted 10/30

I will be withdrawing tonight because I was admitted to Penn ED yesterday, so hopefully that'll free up a spot for someone! Jeez I should've withdrawn last night

Deferred for RD. Same thing happened when I applied to college. Penn deferred me for ED and it left such a bad taste in my mouth that I didn't want to kiss their butt with a letter saying how badly I wanted to attend. So, I didn't and attended a different ivy that accepted me RD and have been thrilled about the decision.
Same thing happening now. Cornell deferred me for RD and have that nasty taste in my mouth again. Will most likely attend that T14 that showed me their love right from the beginning. GULC
