We are delighted to inform you that your application for admission to Cornell Law School is complete and ready for committee review. Please feel free to reference your Online Status page for additional information while your file is under review.

If your application was complete by February 1, you should receive a decision within 8 to 12 weeks
.

Am I reading this right, 8 to 12 weeks from today?
WOW. That's insane. That means end March to end April (past many schools first deposits).
I think they are probably giving an overly cautious timeframe because they can't realistically hold off many decisions for April.
Here's the thing, seat deposits are due around the time they are expecting to let me know their decision. I don't like the prospect of throwing money away!

Really quite ridiculous to make people wait so long. To all future applicants: APPLY EA!

Went under review today! Does this mean I might hear back by the beginning of Feb? How long to people typically go under review for before getting a decision?

In review as well. Going by last years LSN data, we'll probably hear back by the beginning of Feb. If not then, then chances are we're headed for a waitlist/rejection in which we'll be notified in March.

Complete 1/19/11 ---> IR 1/21/11

I've been processing since 11/29. I called today, and they said they were just now going through apps submitted in late November and I should go complete in the next week or two. That's not terrible for me though, since I'd like them to see my Fall 2010 grades. But for anyone else waiting, I thought you might like to know how they're progressing.

applied 11/16, complete 1/20, in review 1/21. Saying my prayers, it's a long shot! With God, anything is possible!

Are you from Binghampton? Lol. My dad was telling me about that town. He's from Elmira.

I don't think so, you're right around median for both, that means 50/50 at least. Why not give it a shot?

I think you should still give it a shot.
All it needs is 3 sentences on why you like Cornell.
You might be waiting til April for a decision though.

Considering it took nine weeks to go complete, I'm expecting a decision in early 2013. :-)

i really do wish that I had known how crucial EA at Cornell is to one's sanity. Like I've said before on this thread, i am in a state of shock as to how slow Cornell is and it is bugging me out considering I am a competitive but not guaranteed candidate

Don't worry I sent an email a month ago and they never wrote back or acknowledged it. Not sure why it takes them forever compared to every other school

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
