Hah, thanks. Kind of hard when even a green "ADMIT" on LSP turns out to be a "hold" (Boston College).

I should've just stuck to academia, that's what I'm good at. =[

the holds and waitlists could easily turn into acceptances in the next few months--don't let them break your spirit!

How often do they really? I dunno, I have a hard time thinking that a school that couldn't accept me the first time around will suddenly change their minds. I guess if a fellow crappy-LSAT'er takes an acceptance somewhere else that it's possible, since they have to fill that spot with someone.

I mean I guess they're not outright dings, but man it sure is a mental trauma. This whole process is way worse than anything I did in the military, because it's so prolonged. Even on deployment, after a couple weeks it "normalizes" for you and just becomes day to day. This admissions thing (status checkers, email) is so horrific to me. Oh well. I don't want to have to sell my sports car for a snow plow anyway! ^.^

If my status checker says "Application in review" Current status date:12/13. When should I get some shizzz? I mean I know this is a dumb question, but I'm trying to figure out what the trend was for the people getting dinged (which will probably be me soon enough). I think my checker just said complete last week. All my stuff was in early Nov.

I think its different for everyone. I submitted all of my stuff early october, didn't go complete until around nov. 10, and still haven't heard anything. But, they said a decision by the end of December so we won't have too much longer to wait! IF you're EA that is.

Not that the cornell decision is really something that Im waiting on the edge of my seat for but they really ought to be ashamed of their timeline. They have had my app since 8/29. No amount of "thorough reading" should take this long. I really feel sorry for the people who apply RD or get deferred with Cornell as their top choice. I heard last year some people literally just never received a decision at all.

+1 to all the dates

Looks like our apps are in the same pile OF NEAR-FUTURE ADMITS. Right? Right.

Processing since November 16th. This doesn't bode well.

I think everyone who submitted after the EA deadline is still stuck processing, I know I am. I'm just not bothering to check my Cornell Status updater for a while because its too frustrating. Hang in there, I'm sure we'll see movement within the next two weeks or so. Just have to wait for them to deal with all the EA applications. I'm pretty sure they received far more of them than they were expecting this year (which might also be an explanation for why we're seeing so many deferrals; they don't have enough of an admissions staff to get through all the apps by the deadline).

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
