I'm there as well. I'm hoping it indicates that we survived the first wave of reserves? Maybe? Seems like a lot of people were going on reserve yesterday.

I'm expecting to go on the WL, I just wish they would hurry up and do it already so I can stop refreshing the status checker every 15 mins.
But if any Cornell adcomms are reading this, by all means accept me and dont put me on the waitlist

Just went into review 2/10, applied 11/30, complete 2/1. Any idea of how long IR is?

See, this annoys me a little. I think it's pretty clear that someone in Ithaca decided "hey, what the hell, it's late in the day on the 22nd, let's just put this guy's app in with the ones we get after Thanksgiving," because my complete was with a bunch of 11/30s and now my review is too.planQ wrote:Just went into review 2/10, applied 11/30, complete 2/1. Don't read much into it. They're just updating your status. It isn't uncommon to have 3 or even 4 separate IR dates.onetime1 wrote:man i hope so!PinkCow wrote:I'm there as well. What's the typical length that one stays "in review" at Cornell, anyone know? I was in the group that updated from 1/25 to 2/9 as well.

Hey, just be glad you're in review at all. I sent mine 11/20, Complete 1/27 and no update since.Guicciardini wrote:See, this annoys me a little. Haha I swear NBC is such a blatant anti-Cornell troll. First the Nard Dog and now this.

Also, a recent joke on Weekend Update on SNL:PinkCow wrote:NorCalBruin wrote:"Cornell Commencement? Tracy Jordan doesn't do safety schools!"

“A student in Massachusetts pled guilty Thursday to charges that he falsified his academic record to get into Harvard. According to my sources, he was sentenced to four years at Cornell. This has been a joke for fair Harvard.”
It was made funny by the WASPy upper-crust voice Meyers used.

man, I wonder when Cornell will do more admits... I will be very frustrated if I have to wait until end of March. I'm going to Ithaca this weekend, I should go knock down their door...

Pah! Back in my day we had it so bad...
App received 11/16 (I sent everything in that they needed on 11/14).
Complete 1/20.
Silence ever since.
In review is something, be grateful for it!

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
Hey all... I'm sitting at a complete 2/2... My numbers are a little high for cornell (above 75 lsat and way above 75 gpa), but i have good reasons to choose them over some higher ranked schools. However, i couldn't really get that across in 2 lines on the app... Is it inappropriate to email admissions with like a paragraph-length "why cornell" and ask them to add it to my file?
Are they known to YP? or will they assume i'm clearly still interested since i haven't withdrawn my app?

In your case, I don't think it would hurt. I mean, if your numbers clearly are high, then putting forth the extra effort to say you want to go there should decrease the YP likelihood.

I'm sorry for being so late to this thread, but I haven't gotten any worthwhile news/curiosity until now!
I just went complete FINALLY after submitting 12/7. Is this normal to take this long?
How long is it usually taking for decisions after going complete for all of y'all?
Thanks!
