Congrats! How does that factor in to your decision??
Thanks! It's going to be a tough decision. Vandy is $50,000 cheaper over three years, but my first impression is that Cornell's LRAP blows Vandy's out of the water.
Great choices. GL on whatever you decide!

You can get it through your snail mail, but if you request it, Kelly will scan the letter and send it via email as an attachment.

Yeah, but do you get notified when a letter is mailed? Because I didn't, so I didn't want to call every day and bother them. However, w/deposit deadlines at so many schools coming up, it's probably TCR.

No, but with seat deposits coming up I hardly think it's rude to call them to inquire about the status of your scholarship amount.

That sucks and is weird. Everyone I've seen other than EA applicants have had 3 review dates :(.

Is it Fordham for you then?

cucullu wrote:Advance apologies: I'm sure this information is in the thread somewhere, but honestly, I got so irritated at Cornell's slower-than-molasses behavior that I stopped keeping up with all developments related to it to preserve my sanity. If someone would be so kind as to answer the following, I would be much obliged:

1. What is Cornell's deposit deadline?

2. Are all notifications made via e-mail, including acceptances? (I thought I recalled reading in another post that Cornell snail-mailed* decisions.)

3. Does Cornell notify accepted students of scholarship offers along with their initial acceptance or do those follow after? If they follow, is that notification made via e-mail or snail-mail*?

*Or, in keeping with the rest of Cornell's admissions style, are these notifications delivered by an actual snail? A trained one, of course.
1. The 15th. But you have 2 weeks to deposit if you get notified after the 15th I believe.

2. Admit/WL are by email. Not sure on rejections.

3. Scholarship/aid comes after acceptance. I think it is through snail mail but some people have successfully called their fin aid office and gotten them to email or fax their aid sheet.
be sure to read your letter carefully, mine clearly says 1 week, so maybe it varies! (I should really contact admissions to make sure...)

Hm, same exact dates as you EXCEPT for the 4/8 date.

Processing 11/30, Complete 2/3, IR 4/4, IR 4/7.

Wonder if it's a good sign I didn't get WL with the rest of the 4/4 --> 4/7 crew?

I'm still stuck on IR 4/4... I'm pretty much done trying to figure out what any of this means.
