I mean Vandy hasn't received it. You could call them and say not to cash your check if you change your mind...

Even though the chances of getting in off reserve are probably slight for me, I'm going to send a LOCI and hope for the best. Cornell was my top choice and I suppose I should be pleased that I wasn't outright rejected.

Can I ask when you applied to both?
I applied right on the deadline for both schools--so what Feb 1st for Cornell and Feb 15th for Columbia?

If it is your top choice, I would definitely include a statement like, "If admitted, I WILL matriculate and withdraw any other commitments."

I'd write this in there even if it isnt true.. law schools lie to us all the time.. even Cornell staff who have told everyone still waiting on decisions in this thread that theyd have decisions already and they still dont

Don't write an untrue statement in your LOCI.

I'm preferably looking for any anecdotal info, but in the meantime I've found this person a few years ago: http://lawschoolnumbers.com/mccoykn

Just follow the instructions. You need to fill out needacceess (click the link) and the cornell fin aid form (also on the page). You also need to send in your tax return and both of your parents'.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
