Yea I wonder if they're just getting the waitlists/denys out of the way first lol.evandm wrote:I'm 169/3.4 w/ good work experience. Does Cornell update everyday like some other schools? Or is someone actually reviewing my application. Sorry if this has already been addressed, I haven't been keeping up with the way that Cornell does things considering it's been 4 months since our last communication.

I see more acceptances and denies than waitlists. I don't think Cornell is that prolific with it's waitlists.Mike12188 wrote:Yea I wonder if they're just getting the waitlists/denys out of the way first lol.evandm wrote:I'm 169/3.4 w/ good work experience. So apparently Cornell's deadline to apply for grant funding is March 15th. I was not accepted until yesterday and so I didn't really look into their financial aid stuff until now. Is it too late to apply for grants?

I think it was somewhere in the PDF attached to the acceptance email where they say that, if you were accepted a few days before the deadline or after it, you just need to get the info to them asap.bender18 wrote:So apparently Cornell's deadline to apply for grant funding is March 15th. Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
I am sure that Cornell will have no trouble filling their class with amazing applicants. But I am withdrawing my application. I am from New York so staying closer to home was a bonus for me. But I got a full ride at Northwestern today (which is probably a better fir for me) and still have my application "processing" at Cornell after months and months. My understanding is that "processing" means that not only is my application not being reviewed but that it is not even ready for review. They have an April 15th deposit deadline and are still processing my application? I am not trying to be petty but it is just disappointing that the Cornell admissions process is so slow, and arguably incompetent.
I am not so disillusion so as to think that my withdrawing will have any effect on Cornell at all, but this was the only place that I could really vent. Best of luck to those still waiting, I hope it works out for all of you.

ahem, no. I pretty much just forgot about the whole thing until I emailed about the status. It's cool, at least they were kind of quick this year.whymeohgodno wrote:For my sake I will check this off as YP. Did you send in a LOCI?r6_philly wrote:Reserve this morning. Wasn't around to report it. Ha!

How long did they take last year? (when did you get your decision/when you applied?)r6_philly wrote:ahem, no. I pretty much just forgot about the whole thing until I emailed about the status. I don't think I got a decision until late April. I applied late but I went in review probably before I went into re-review this year.whymeohgodno wrote:

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
I actually called and asked this, the woman at admissions told me that if you were admitted after March that you'd have two weeks to turn in the financial aid paperwork. Also, I had a dream last night that I logged in to my Cornell status checker and my status said "Expected Review Date: 11/1/2012"

You dream too big. There will never be an "expected" review date.kjadkins wrote:Also, I had a dream last night that I logged in to my Cornell status checker and my status said "Expected Review Date: 11/1/2012"

I wonder if Cornell intends on giving me financial aid information this month. I have a deposit deadline of April 1 for several schools.

Do they email you to tell you? Or do you have to look on the status checker?jakersatcal wrote:Finally! My application is in review as of today
