Re: IN AT The University of Texas Class of 2014
look, i'm in grad school finals right now and this website's search function has been a little bit difficult in the past/i don't spend my life on here, so i figured i would ask people who already have it easily at their disposal...there was no obligation to respond.
but thanks?

1. Thanks, but I have "no scholarships on file" there. What's going on? I got a scholarship letter back in January and just got a big bump yesterday by phone.japes wrote:finaid.utexas.eduniederbomb wrote:Hey!
Does anyone know how to access the scholarship awards/personal financial aid information online?
I got an email updating my scholarship that said "electronic confirmation will be sent." Where should I go to look this up?
Thanks!
click on cash.
You mean the grad student apartments?Additionally, does anyone have experience with on-campus housing?
2. Yes, the grad apartments. I'm planning to live in them my first year unless someone strongly convinces me otherwise (I can't visit to look for housing, and I wouldn't sign up with a roommate sight unseen, been there done that )

Could someone who went to UT or lives in Austin PM me to talk about housing. I have a few questions about the best way to go about finding a place.

if you don't have above a 168 or about a 3.6 GPA, then no, you won't get money off the waitlist. Those are their hard scholarship minimums (either/or, not both I don't think)

Re: IN AT The University of Texas Class of 2014
Had some fairly detailed conversations with their financial aid department as I have a 174/3.58 (soon to be 3.6 ).
The 168/3.6 floor is a flat requirement in that you must have both to be eligible for their traditional scholarship funds. Failing this the only possibility of scholarship funds is from the deans discretionary fund pool which she gets to give out as she pleases.
(At least this is the impression I've been given from all of my conversations with them)
Hope this is helpful for someone.

Re: IN AT The University of Texas Class of 2014
so my financial aid reward in CASH was just revised to total 19,106 a semester. Which adds up to 38,212, which is 9,500 less than the expected cost of attendance for a resident. I haven't received a scholarship notification via email, and it wasn't originally included in my original letter of acceptance i received wednesday after being admitted off the waitlist friday. I've been unable to check snail mail.
Does this sound like a scholarship to you guys? would scholarships show up in CASH? Or am I just screwed and going to have to live under a bridge for the next 3 years?

ya, it is being sent through snailmail. It was a scholarship. Looks like I'll see everyone in Austin in 2 months.
