Dinged via Email- OOS RD 3.7 167
Not at all surprised, but definitely not pleased. Have we established yet if UVa will be more selective than other similarly ranked schools this year? (i.e. Duke?)

Cornell is doing the same thing. =-/
This must be a bad sign?

My status date hasn't moved since the original 10/22. I know I've got a snowball's chance in hell but still, what gives?

no one knows - I, along with many others, have been stuck there. Some people have pretty decent, if not very strong, numbers.rupret1 wrote:My status date hasn't moved since the original 10/22. I know I've got a snowball's chance in hell but still, what gives?

Unfortunately they dont care with an LSAT that low. If UVA is your first choice then switch to ED.Aggiegrad2011 wrote:Nah, not URM. 2 combat tours and decorations though. I'd rather drive a nail under my fingernails than live in Virginia but the app was free so it works out for everyone.

No movement since 9/13 over here.mrmangs wrote:Actually, I haven't moved since late September, .Aggiegrad2011 wrote:That's pretty crazy - Maybe you should e-mail them?rupret1 wrote:My status date hasn't moved since the original 10/22. Also if you really have no intentions of going to a school, why apply? Also I'm assuming you also paid the $12 LSAC report fee? I'd rather have $12 than apply to a school that I couldn't see myself going to.

I applied to UMN because I had a fee waiver and was likely to get money, which I could then use as leverage. I have no intention of attending under any circumstances.scruffs mcguff wrote:No movement since 9/13 over here.mrmangs wrote:Actually, I haven't moved since late September, .Aggiegrad2011 wrote:That's pretty crazy - Maybe you should e-mail them?rupret1 wrote:My status date hasn't moved since the original 10/22. Re: UVa. Regular Decision
That sounds reasonable, but the poster that was directed at applied to a school that he had 0 chance at getting into let alone getting money. Then he said he wouldnt go there in any circumstance. So yes big waste of 12 dollarsI applied to UMN because I had a fee waiver and was likely to get money, which I could then use as leverage. I have no intention of attending under any circumstances.

Many schools will match scholarship offers from peer schools. The more you apply, the more chance you will land a higher offer (to use in matching programs).

Re: UVa. Regular Decision
It's his money and if throwing it at a school out of reach seems reasonable enough to him, then it is reasonable. You still have $12 in your wallet so we are all good then.AssumptionRequired wrote:That sounds reasonable, but the poster that was directed at applied to a school that he had 0 chance at getting into let alone getting money.
