Easy to backtrack and try to say, "All I said was there were mostly white students." However when one goes back to the original statement, you have to admit there was more behind those words.

If that is how it came across than I completely understand and I apologize. By now means did I intend that to be a positive. You can assume there was "more behind those words" if you would like, but I honestly don't care.

Don't sweat it. There are some sensitive people in here that enjoy being ridiculous.

Does anyone know the average number of STCL students who transfer up and out each year? Does anyone ever transfer IN to STCL?

LSAC's official data seems to be old but it says:
Transfers in 4
Transfers out 17
I believe that is a yearly figure.

Does anyone know a definitive date for acceptance/rejection e-mails to be sent? The whole vague end of April line is really starting to drive me crazy!

They said everyone should receive something by a week from tomorrow. Here's hoping this week flies because I've been on App Complete since 12/2...

I don't get their review process. Is it rolling admission with first come first serve? Or is it just random? From what I gather they don't have an In Review status for the status checker, so when it says Application Complete does that mean that it is in review, or that they haven't even gotten to it yet?

It's pretty late to have not even reviewed some apps yet.

nah, they do review apps, they immediately accept people they like, and then leave the rest in two piles, one for rejection and one for further review and possibly acceptance. Seeing as how we havent received a rejection, and the other people in this thread who have gotten a response in the past week were rejections might mean we are going to get accepted.

You're an optimist and I like it.

I'm more of a cynic myself, but I do appreciate the optimists.

I accept that the worst case scenario is going to happen, so the outcome can only meet or exceed my expectations. So I am expecting inevitable denial from ST.

then again I know that UH will inevitably reject me, but seeing that my file is in review, and didnt get rejected the second they saw it gives me alittle hope I might accidentally get accepted there. That would be a good thing.

I'm a lurker, but after my first PT year at STCL, here's what I have to say....

1) If you want to go to law school to be a lawyer to get a big check, don't do it.

2) As much as you *think* you are ready for law school, you have no idea what you are in for.

3) Be ready to sacrifice everything. I do mean everything. No life, no entertainment, no relaxation. Ever. Before it is all over, there will be people in your section that get a divorce, loose their family, whatever. It's very, very sad.

Maybe you just weren't ready...

Maybe you had to sacrifice everything...

Maybe you're not as good of a student as you think you are...

Maybe you shouldn't make inaccurate generalizations to scare people...

it can happen to any one. Thats like saying most people who commute have their cars break down within a year. yes if your car is over 10 years old there is a higher chance of that happening. If you're marriage is already falling apart paying less attention to your partner is bound to have some repercussions, but all in all things happen just be ready to deal with them.

Life's hard. Get over it. Shouldn't you be studying or something like that?

I want to be a lawyer, but I want to be married to my wife more.
If the time ever comes that I have to choose, I'll drop out of school.
nuh-uh.
I'll give up my dog, my house, my friends. I'm dedicated.
but I'm not that dedicated.

if you do anything with the intention of making big money, chances are always high it won't happen. People who usually get alot of money and accumulate wealth are ones that just work hard. Money isn't a result of hard work, its a by product of it.

Also, I hear being a lawyer is pretty easy and stress-free right?

What'd you expect?
