Burn.

When was TTU's last national championship in Football? In fact TTU has only been National Champions three times in their history. In 1956, they were Rodeo National Champs (Woo!). In 2006 their Men's Polo team won a National Championship! And in 1993 their Women's Basketball team won a National Championship. Do you really want to compare that to UT's 47 National Championships? I don't think so Texas Tech fan.

Let's keep the discussion on South Texas College of Law.

Before we switch, I just have to say that Tech's last hope was Michael Crabtree and Billy Gilespie just went to Tech so he could drink on the job.

I lol @ Texas beating Tech this past year.

And just to keep this post relevant... I am still waiting on a decision from STCL.

What are job prospects like for STCL grads in Dallas or Austin?

Wow, ya'll. Way to jump on my behind. I merely pointed out UT is not good at EVERYTHING. They have their areas that are wonderful - the liberal arts program at UT is wonderful. At least I willing to admit another Big 12 school can actually have an edge on another Big 12 school. UT was actually my first choice school, but I chose not to live in Austin. Too much partying too close to campus for me to feel comfortable, as well as the fact I found UT's curriculum more abstract than technical. (I am not afraid to admit every campus has it's fair share of partying and abstract learning, but when I toured the campuses, I went for Tech over UT. It was simply a personal choice, and yes, UT football > Tech or A&M football, but one can always hope for a good year.)

As for transferring, I try to stay optimistic. You never know, you might want to transfer out of whereever you end up going for whatever reasons. I hope it all works out for you, too. :-)

and yes, actually, I will be taking one of those accounting internships right out of college. It will be in my second year of law school during the summer and I will be offered a part time position during the regular year if all goes well. So, just because I have a passion for both law and accounting doesn't mean I cannot pursue both.

Anyway, I haven't heard anything yet online or e-mail. Hope to hear back soon.

Hey, now, I was being honest about why I chose Tech over UT, and you just lambasted me. I don't put people down for choosing their undergrad school. Many of us had choices and chose for a variety of reasons. Your bullying is just not cool, sir. I came on here because I thought ya'll would like insight on dates that I received notifications - not to be put down for my alma mater.

If you even read my previous posts, you would know I have a 146 LSAT. I was sick on that day. I'm not afraid to admit the score is crummy, but it's mine.

-- Edit: Yes, I guess ya'll can just call me the most socially ignorant person in the world because I am actually kind.

24-17, you hippie-spawn.

I might try and sell the wife on my needing to go to that one in order to meet my future classmates.

Hahaha. Well if they were too consistent, it wouldn't even be called a game.

But yeah, after reading previous posts, Montrose/Hospitial/Midtown are the credited living areas. But pricey.

Yeah, if I wind up not living in Cypress, then Montrose area is looking like the winner.

if I get into STCL, I might just end up getting a apartment close by just to study and rest during the day and then driving back late at night, rather than deal with rush hour traffic.
