Any movement/status changes? According to LSN there should be a wave of admits on the way.

Any current students on here that can possibly tell us if the school is being accurately reflected by the way they handle admissions? I just have had such fantastic experiences with other schools- just hope this isn't reflective of the overall program!

Have you had a bad experience with the admissions office, or are you just referring to how slow they are?

No change here either

I'm still waiting on 2 others besides Utah, all western schools. I'm convinced its an out west thing as all the eastern schools got back to me quick.

Mainly just slow. Though I did write an email about something months ago about the process and they replied with an answer that had 0% to do with what I asked, which I found odd, but they seem OK otherwise! With so many other schools being more efficient and timely- it just made me wonder.

I also agree with the western school statement. I don't know what it is, but it does look like they are slower overall.

I was just curious because I have spoken a few times with them in the office and they were pretty nice and helpful. I've also emailed them a handful of times and their replies were pretty quick.

But, I agree that this wait is a killer. It seems like since I started the law school process I've spent a majority of my time waiting for one thing or another.

I am still waiting on eight schools, so while the wait is annoying I know it isn't just them. I applied to too many schools. Argh.

I dunno, the wait sucks, but it's not like they're 'bad' because they're slow. Their admissions site straight up says they don't review til January, and decisions come 6-8 weeks after. So yeah it's annoying, cause I applied in November, but it's not like they said we'd get decisions sooner than that.

(or maybe I'm just easy going because I've been complete at USC for 3 months, when they ARE reviewing).

Very true. I don't think they'd suck overall. I'm probably just sick of waiting and continually impressed with my interactions with other schools and my impatience waiting is just getting to me. I'd just like to start being able to weigh out where I'll be living this fall.

Wake forest has already offered money, so I need utah to offer and then try to get them to both raise their offers.

I just find myself getting angrier by the hour at Quinney ever since that first, lone acceptance went out last week. I'm beginning to wonder if that book fine from their law library I got when I was sophomore got my picture pinned up on the "NEVER ADMIT" wall of shame next to all the bounced seat deposit checks (as is my mental picture).

Also, he said in my admissions call that they do the second round of reviewing for scholarship awards and to expect that around 3/15. He did say though that they "recommend" students for scholarships though, so I was happy to hear that I had been recommended for some merit money.

Utah's admission process keeps becoming more confusing. Everyone being admitted submitted in late December/January, and they're doling them out at a the rate of 1 a day. At this rate all the acceptances should be out by June, of next year.
