For what it's worth, people literally got in last year up until orientation.IHaveLawyers wrote:I am getting pretty pessimistic at this point, is there still any hope of being admitted off the wait list for PT applicants?

Only going to wait till the first week of July. Cannot afford to delay my move to Seattle for USD till the last minute.

Thats an important point...last day to request refund for 2nd deposit is July 1st (or was it June 31). So theoretically, some more seats might open up...including in part time

You can get a refund on a deposit? Is this true for most schools?

For some, up until a certain point. Though, July 1 is one of the later refund dates I've seen...cubsma wrote:You can get a refund on a deposit? Is this true for most schools?

Chapman fell off the rankings this year, so unless you were offered some scholarship money from them, I would go USD for sure. That is great that you now have a decision to make, though!

Thanks! That was a very kind message )) Yes, Chapman did offer me a little but I don't think it's enough to keep me at Chapman. I have never been to USD so the next plan of action is to make a visit. I hope all of you the best. I'd like to think we will all fall into the right place.

Can't wait to do this damn thing!
Hey, I'm a rising 2L-- we got our schedules pretty late, just a few days before Orientation if I remember correctly. You probably already know this if you've looked on the USD website, but Civ Pro and Lawyering Skills (Legal Research & Writing) are both semesters, so you'll for sure have those... And Constitutional Law is in the spring

I will be withdrawing. Going to take a year or two to decide if law is really the path I want to choose. Good luck to you guys!

Unless they manage to swing me a scholarship, I will most likely be withdrawing too...and yup, I am in the PT program. I keep you guys updated.
I am either going to a lower ranked school, or gonna wait it out a year.
