Anyone else who applied around October 19th Early Decision not gotten a decision yet? I'm at the 25th% GPA, a few points above their 75th% LSAT, OOS, and have heard nothing. Everyone else seems to be hearing, even folks who applied a couple weeks after me. Anyone in my boat?

I submitted my application the 1st, it was processed, and I received my status checker, on the 11th, and I was accepted the 18th

I need some advice! I got the call on Friday, and I was left a voicemail message. I received my packet today. Should I call the Dean back to make any sort of acknowledgment?

Sorry to keep asking this but I'm understandably apprehensive. I just want to know what the deal is. I know my numbers suggest a rejection, but if that is the case, why is it taking UT so long on my app. I'm not searching for hope here, I just want to know. Any thoughts?

I got a 45k scholly. It's great and everything but I was expecting more with my numbers. Anyone know what their policy when it comes to scholarships is?

They have a matching program. Don't blow your wad early. Wait until you have all the competing offers before you send the letters in. They'll let you know when the deadline is.

Just to be clear, no one has been accepted/rejected that was in the "hold" pile from EA?

I didn't get a call on Friday but my status checker said accepted the 19th. So it went like this: submitted the 31st, received the 1st, complete the 15th, accepted (?) the 19th. No "Why UT" essay (no mention of UT in my essay, even, though I had one of my recs say it was my top choice), and I updated them with a new resume/edited essay.

I got my packet in the mail today, too. :-) All my housemates and I just went out with my mom who happened to be in town AND today I was inducted to Phi Beta Kappa AND received IRB approval for a study I'm about to run. I cannot imagine a better day.

I'm not sure what I should expect in terms of scholarship money with my stats. In-state tuition being waived would be fabulous, but that might not be in the cards.

Good luck to everyone!! Everyone on this forum is hard working - I'm sure that everything will work out beautifully at the end of the day.

Same here. In via phone today but no mention of scholarship. Do they always mention scholarship if they intend to give you one? Any idea?

In RD this afternoon. No mention of a scholarship, but what can I expect with my GPA.

YAY!

Edit: Actually, I was wrong. OOS tuition waiver + 9500/yr

In today via RD - sent 11/4. Scholly letter (if offered) to follow two weeks after packet. I'm fairly certain UT doesn't state offers on the call, yes?

3.9/169 OOS

I sent mine in on 11/12. I got an email acknowledging it. LSAC says they have sent the report, and a few (all) LOR's have now been sent.

Will I receive an email again with a status checker at some point?

thanks

Yes - it may take a bit, though.

I tried logging into the status checker today and got a weird layout. "UT Direct - My Home" -- how we we view the status of our application?

Looks like it was a glitch. Everything's back to normal.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
