Denied today, live in Austin. Letter dated 01/27/11, was deferred EA. I very much expected this, but was hoping to sneak on the wait-list.

Guess I am headed to NU. 8)

Good luck everyone still waiting!

You got accepted to GULC and not UT? Well that sucks.

I am a extreme URM splitter. UT hates my kind.

I know y'all are sick of my ranting, but I can't help myself. Why, UT, why??? ED and NO decision??? Come on! I've seen people get held from ED and then receive a SECOND decision before my FIRST. I've seen numerous regular decisions from OOS and IS with numbers all over the map. I've submitted an LOCI with a subtle inquiry as to the whereabouts of my decision, and still nothing? Why must you haunt me?

Does anybody know how UT issues decisions?
I'm abroad so I'm assuming I won't get a phone call.
Have the WL/Rejections been coming by e-mail or regular mail?

Aside from the phone call, people have been getting their decisions by snail mail... the status checker updates about three days after the phone call in the case of acceptance.

Maybe they saw your LSN name and were afraid a rejection or waitlist would piss you off?

For those of you who have received decisions, how long did it take to receive a decision after you went complete?

Congrats!! From the looks of things they've been remarkably consistent with their scholly info (#'s/$'s)

Yeah I agree, I knew what to expect as far as $ was concerned if I got it. The fact I didn't get a letter in the timeframe I expected just freaked me out a little, because I'm anticipating the worst from a lot of these schools (I have this notion that because I'm only 20, the top schools will waitlist the crap out of me or admit me but not even think about risking any scholly money towards me).

Thanks, congrats on your similar scholly!

Thanks. And congratulations to everyone else accepted, and condolences to this less fortunate.

I'm not sure when I got accepted, actually. The email says it was sent at 4am Saturday morning, which is totally bizarre. My status has been changed to say I was accepted January 26th, even though I received the email on the 29th. I didn't receive a phone call on my cell, but I'm wondering if they left a voicemail on my work phone. I've been out sick so I wouldn't have received it. Still not sure why the email would have been sent at 4am though.

I really love UT, and almost didn't apply because I thought there was no chance I would be accepted. Now that I think it's possible, I really want it...

I hope they at least waitlist me, so I have a chance to score higher on the Feb LSAT and maybe get in. Please don't reject me Texas.

Not sure if this is the right thread for this, but when will we find out info about the admitted student day? I know what days it is, but will they provide us with an itenerary of what will be occuring and some info on where to stay etc. We also usually have to RSVP. Anyone have a clue as to where this info is or when me might receive it? Id like to make my ASW plans soon.

I asked last week, they said info will be made available when they are available.
