Texas, I really like you, but I can't afford sticker price for your school :|

Edit: Don't mean to sound like a jerk who's entitled to money...it's just it would take some $ for me to consider UT and let's just say I REALLY want to consider them :|
Wait and see if you get anything. And there is a limit of # of in-state waiver they can give per year I think. So soon as some people withdraw, some may become available and regifted to others.
Yeah, I know that's the process...it's just nice to know up front when a school wants you :)

I applied to so many schools for the sole purpose of playing the negotiating/late scholarship game later on in the cycle. But I need some up-front offers first

I'll wait till Saturday before I conclude I got zero cash.

To whoever asked. I get my mail around noon EST in Florida :)

I'm happy with what I got since TX tuition is lower and col wouldn't be as bad as some other places but I would like to know what others around my #s got.

Anyone with 3.7-3.8
167, 168
OOS
get offered more or less than 69K?
(7k/year (21K) + nonresident exemption of 48K)

Right in those numbers here too. Haven't gotten anything yet, though I only got the admit call last week so I haven't given up hope just yet.

I believe someone said that 168 is the minimum for scholarship consideration (excluding URM)

 the crisis of scholarships gives way to the crisis of choosing rank/$$$$, which gives way to the crisis of 1L, which gives was to the crisis of OCI, and so on...

All of this, of course, preceeded by the crisis of the LSAT, waiting for the score, pondering a re-take, etc.

So with a instate 169/3.4 I've got an outside shot at best, mostly just hoping to get waitlisted. I'm retaking the LSAT in Feb so maybe I can add a few critical points.

Do yall think that its worthwhile/helpful/not crazy to go ahead and write an LOCI? I could deliver it in person within an hour of getting waitlisted.

I'm in state w/ similar numbers. I would wait this one out...you might get the green light if your softs are compelling. LSAT is above 75th, which will get you a look

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a LOCI?

When did you apply? Were you held from ED?

That's a big ol dang. I hope this isn't the case, but it does make sense considering that 167-168 is median.

Didn't apply ED, sent in on 1/10. They still haven't gotten my 2nd letter so I'm not expecting to hear back today or anything, just planning ahead.

I also think its absurd that my two LOR, which are from UT law professors, have to get sent off to Pennsylvania and take 3 weeks before the admissions office can officially have them.

+1. 10 minute drive for me to UT Law to drop off updated transcript, or 2-3 weeks in the mail up to Newtown, PA...

Just got the scholly letter. Non-resident exemption + $9,500/yr (total of $76,500). I got my admit call last Tuesday (1/18) and my admit packet either the following Friday or Monday (can't remember which). So for those still waiting, it took a total of 10 days from the admit call for it to get to me in Ohio.

Stats for quick reference:
169, 3.77, OOS (obviously).

I think I recall noticing that somewhere else too... and that we've applied (I think) to all the same schools! and thanks. Reading back through a bit, it looks like a lot of people with these numbers got about the same thing?

It would be really interesting if we could figure out what the cutoffs are for each level of scholarship money. It seems like people with similar numbers are getting the same amount, regardless of softs.

Congrats to all the recent admits and scholarship recipients!
