I applied Late January, got the ID in February and got wait-listed six days later. Crazy turnaround.TortoiseshellCat wrote:Oglethorpe037 wrote:1.5X / 166 In state waitlisted today via email. You applied the day before the deadline and you already heard back from them??? Did you apply 1/31?

Yes I applied 1/31. But it was early morning 1/31 because I'm in Japan.unc0mm0n1 wrote:I heard back in about 6 weeks so I can see someone hearing back in 4. To those that have gotten letters of admission from UT, are the envelopes thin or thick? I'm just wondering so I can prepare myself. I know someone who got a very thin rejection letter. I don't know if admission letters are the same. Thanks!!!

You get a thin package. Not as thick as other law schools, though.TortoiseshellCat wrote:To those that have gotten letters of admission from UT, are the envelopes thin or thick? I love how they're telling people over the phone now about scholarship offers. As recent as a few weeks ago they weren't, and we had to wait for it to come via snail mail, if at all.cngreen wrote:Just got the phonecall! And she said a scholarship letter would be coming in the mail.

Doing a little research for a friend who is waiting on a decision.
Does anyone know the average LSAT and average GPA for Hispanic students admitted to the University of Texas Law School (Austin)?

Um, I doubt they will break up the numbers based on race that way for you. Check out the Stats part of the board and see who marks themselves as a minority. For what it's worth, I'm Hispanic.Mr. Bigglesworth wrote:Doing a little research for a friend who is waiting on a decision.

Just got the phone call (168/3.75)! Does anyone know when UT's admitted student day is? I have heard great things about the school, but I've never been to Texas.

I got UT's and Vanderbilt's on the same day and Penn's shortly afterwards. You can tell which schools have money, and which one doesn't.

If you're denied, does that appear on the status checker? Also, does everyone admitted get a call, or just those that get scholarships?

Maybe you figured it out by now but it's on March 24th/25th. You're going to be able to RSVP on the FreshLaw website, but a lady in admissions told me it will be a few more days before the link is activated.IgnatiusJ wrote:Just got the phone call (168/3.75)! Fairly certain everyone gets the call. I did, and I was one point short of the LSAT floor on scholarships.TortoiseshellCat wrote:If you're denied, does that appear on the status checker? Also, does everyone admitted get a call, or just those that get scholarships?

Just emailed them to turn down the offer of admission. Hope this opens up a spot for somebody here. Good luck everyone!
