Congrats to everyone recently accepted!
I noticed a lot of discussion of scholarship matching, is this the only way to get your scholarship increased or could an LSAT retake be useful for this as well?

I don't think they call you to tell you about a rejection.Perch wrote:accepted?njgal wrote:Agreed....I got the call yesterday. Dean Ingram: "This is Dean Ingram from University of Texas School of Law. Is this njgal?"
NJgal: "Oh my god, yes it is"
Dean Ingram: "Yeah... Sorry but we're denying you..." CLICK

Full scholarship offer!
Was only told about money on the phone, no mention it'd be this big. Feeling pretty lucky to have such a good offer this early in the cycle.

PM'd with specifics. But for others I'm pretty close, so letters might be in the mail.nonprofit-prophet wrote:Hey what region of the country are you in? Trying to figure out if you would get snail mail from austin faster than I would. The Real Jack McCoy wrote:Full scholarship offer!

Held for regular decision. I'm a little surprised they didn't outright reject me, but I suppose this is pretty much the same thing?

Re: Texas 2011 Applicants
It's definitely not a rejection. I had a very successful result after a hold. That was two years ago, but it's the same admissions dean. They probably want to take a look at the class profile more carefully before they decide on a splitter. Your GPA is not going help UT's numbers.beachbum wrote:Held for regular decision. Have you thought about retaking? It's a pain in the neck, but it could show UT you're serious, and it could matter when it comes to scholarship money as well.crossingforHYS wrote:that makes sense! Huh, crazy. I was just assuming that my GPA pretty much excludes me from UT (particularly after another 170/3.4 was dinged), but I guess we'll see what happens.JazzOne wrote:It's definitely not a rejection. I got an email that said they received my application, but nothing regarding status check. Does that come later?xqhp82 wrote:got dinged via status checker as well....oh well, it is a super reach to me with my numbers. Anyone requesting a reconsideration here?

Yeah, I applied ED and didn't get my status checker until over a week after I got the application received email.2807 wrote:I got an email that said they received my application, but nothing regarding status check. I would take it as a very positive sign and fight for a spot unless you're not really into UT.beachbum wrote:Huh, crazy.
