UHPT: As to your reference of Mce252 and I getting acceptance emails "anyday now", why do you perceive that to be the case? Is it because they didn't initially deny us yesterday? Your thoughts? Thanks. :)[/quote]

Well definitely because you guys were not intially denied...also i am just extremely positive today because i just found out that i am now officially a CPA hahaha. if nothing at all atleast you do know they are currently reviewing your file...to see if they should accept you (which they will) or keep you on the waitlist n prolong the torture. im not even going ot mention the third option because I am just going to be an optimistic person today and not think dark thoughts whatsoever! :D

PS: i was waitlisted 4/19 as well my status checker date didnt change. i am a pt applicant though..so that may be a reason, i am hoping.

Is anyone else on this board interested in U of H's health law and public policy institute?

Im interested in the energy law focus of the school. UH is highly regarded in that field.....but Houston being the energy capital of the world also has something to do with that I am sure. Haha

Do you think your focus will place you into a different WL category? U of H has a wealth of centers and institutes and I've heard U of H uses an applicant tracking software that can search through different attributes. If you have a background or interest in energy, I would think a drop down menu would note you as a potential candidate for the Center for Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Law. Considering their programs, I would think they'd be an institution to focus more on the diversity of their candidates discipline and interests. I mean, it would suck if their Program on Law and Computation ended up with no students.

Jpenaonline: I agree with you fully.....and sounds like that is they case here. Because as I have stated before my numbers do not do not do not hit the GPA/LSAT criteria for UH. And I am Asian....so I do NOT get URM consideration too. But I can say this, its all about setting yourself apart. Most schools say that they are not numbers only schools and UH definitely is staying true to that. I have expressed a great desire in my application for the energy policy route. So fingers are crossed.

As for the posting on TLS yesterday it seems that one person for FT was given admissions off the waitlist and a couple of date changes on statuses, but otherwise pretty much not too much noise. Is UH only announcing admissions decisions once a week for either PT or FT making yesterday being the day? Or do you think we will hear something today or tomorrow?

I was wondering the same thing - as far as I know the past two weeks they released PT acceptances on both Tuesdays. This week they did FT on Wednesday. I am hoping as we get closer to August they start doing this on multiple days of the week! :D

If I get off the wait list, I'm going to binge drink until midterms.

Congrats!!! Had your wait list status date been recently updated? I was told everyone on the wait list gets a second file review and that candidates are non-ranked.
