No, I have the same feeling. Unless I'm as crazy as you... we can be optimistic. Again, this is 100%, unadulterated conjecture.
Well I went complete in Oct/Nov, and now looking at last year's LSN class it looks like a number (a plurality even) of the acceptees who went complete Oct/Nov and didn't hear in the first round (i.e. by the end of December) didn't get their acceptances until... gulp... Late March and early April.
Sigh. I think it's time for me to check out of TLS for a while. I have to say applying to SLS and Yale reminds me of applying to art school for my MFA... For art school you do have to submit GRE scores and transcripts and all the rest, but a full 95% of the admissions decision is based on your portfolio, the artistic work sample you send the adcomm. So you have absolutely no sense of when/whether you will be admitted. It all hangs on the vagaries of the adcomm's mood when they view your portfolio, and the way their particular tastes are leaning that particular year. Ugh, the waiting was awful...
