At this point in the cycle, your trolling is not well recieved and anyone with a dry humor can confirm, that was trolling, not sarcasm.

This was the first time this cycle that I actually got scared. I expected out of HY, and I feel confident about the other schools. This one, really, really, scared, me.

+1, minus the confidence about other schools. This whole status changing thing scared me, too. Especially bc I don't think any acceptances have been notified by status checker first.

That I am aware of, no. Like I mentioned earlier, rejections should start end of this month or next month, but waitlists are not until April. Acceptances can go through April as well. Submission date does not mean as much...Dean Deal holds onto files until she has thoroughly read them. And numbers are not (relatively) as important here as elsewhere.

okay so maybe this is a dumb question, but does Dean Deal read every application that isn't automatically filtered out?

I know, sounds like a fun job, no? Anyway, an addendum to that question,... is Dean Deal the sole decision maker or she is just the initial screener who passes them on to a committee of professors?

Got my rejection letter today. I knew it was coming, but it was still painful. And it seems that I was the first one to get the actual letter? I feel so special!

Do y'all mind saying when you applied? I know CR and two other applicants were fairly early, IIRC. Assuming they just haven't gotten to November yet.

+1 Stepped away for an evening and all hell breaks loose. I'm guessing (hoping) I'm safe for the time being--just went complete/UR two weeks ago.

Mine updated to "A decision letter has been sent" yesterday as well, went UR in late September. Sigh, wasn't really expecting to get into SLS anyhow...

Yes. Going to Stanford would have been a lot easier logistically because I currently live in the Bay Area, but I am really excited about Harvard. I told my mom I got rejected yesterday and she called them shmucks. I tried to explain to her that it was my GPA, not that they hated my personally. I applied on September 18th.

Scared to check now. So it's safe to say that those are rejection letters? That sucks knowing that if you didn't get a phone call and your status update changed you basically know you're fate. *vomits*
