Well, it looks like this is the end for me. If I don't hear back from SLS by tomorrow, I will be forced to withdraw due to scholarship requirements. Here's hoping they send this October applicant a decision today.

Decision letter sent. Received Harvard's wait list invitation earlier today.

Looks like I should start looking for a job for next year!

I don't like this ending for the 3 of us. Not a bit.

Yeah, not quite like we dreamed. I will be fighting tooth and nail for it until the day classes start though. Being a college student still, I don't have roots down anywhere and it is easy for me to move about.

You say that until you sign a lease in NYC.

Yeah, I am not quite sure how it works when you go through Columbia housing. I will have to research it.

Did you just get your DLS today, or could it have been yesterday?

Just withdrew. I just got annoyed with all the waiting and not hearing anything.

at this point, its a good thing to be DLS'd mr. bing. The longer the wait just means they're having a more difficult time deciding if you're waitlist or rejection. ANd in my opinion, if you barely edged your way onto the waitlist.... well, chances are even worse that you'll make it off the waitlist vs. others that got waitlisted quicker.....

Wow. Still nothing as of 5 pm PDT. I have a feeling I am going to be one of those people who simply never get a decision at all. :?

Got my waitlist letter today from yesterday's DLS. Not sure whether I will ride it.

Not necessarily. While your logic applies to most of those yet to hear, I still believe that there are a tiny handful of seats still available. And they're deciding between a small group of people for those seats. (not saying I'm one of these people)

In this case, getting waitlisted later actually means that you just missed out on an outright acceptance and thus have a greater chance of getting in off the waitlist.

Obviously, this only makes sense if there are any seats left (I think someone called a few days ago and the person on the phone said there were still some outright acceptances still to be had).

I called recently. The person on the phone confirmed that there are still outright acceptances left.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
