I have a 3.3....what does it mean again?

It's an method to combine your LSAT and GPA into one legible number.

I'm at 3.58

Wow, I'd need a 3.82 with my 179 to get that.

To clarify, I provided my index as a reference for those who care since I got my acceptance last week.

I think I want my future children to go to Stanford. There's no hope for me, but I pledge to someday live vicariously through my children as they frolic all along these Stanford grounds.

. It depends though, if I go to B, S will be my rival.

For undergrad, my dad refused to let me apply to his school's rival. My mom is visiting now and driving me crazy with her talk abou how great it would be for me to get into Stanford and how they would be fools to reject me. I have give up trying to explain to her why I probably won't get in.

My dad went to a very old European university, and so informed me that pretty much everywhere I was applying to in the US would be considered a polytechnic and not a proper university.

I told him that at least we wouldn't have to use chamber pots.

I would love to one day find out how they fill their class (here and at Yale). It must be awfully hard but satisfying.

Just imagining Dean Deal having a one-sided relationship - in any way, but especially with the few sheets of paper submitted to represent me - is pretty hilarious.

Honestly if Knock doesn't get in, I'm going to think there's something wrong with the cosmos.

I'm realizing I should have applied to this school. I guess I still can...

Yeah... the deadline isn't till Feb. 1st,.. and they apparently never fill all the seats until after all the applications have been received (that is, before Feb 1st).

Yeah, I just found out they actually DID receive Form B back in mid-December (long story), so now I need to decide if I need to do Form C at all or what. One of my recommenders used to be a professor there, but all the paperwork might be excessively complicated. I'm going to try and see what's what here.

if a professor likes you, you don't even have to go visit the guy... just forward him the form. Especially b/c he used to be a professor there, it might make a difference

I don't think Stanford status checker changes to UR? As soon as LSAC finally figured out my foreign transcripts they sent the report and that was about 2 weeks after I applied, so end of the first week of December or so. I was complete or UR or whatever (because I don't think the status checker differentiates) on that same day.

No I was complete on 12/1 then submitted for review 12/10

Despite the fact that I've been under review for over a month now, I somehow just now realized that one of my professors got his PhD at Stanford. Would it be a good idea to try to get in Form C this late in the game?

Got in yesterday-- I'd rather not post my stats, but both my GPA and LSAT are within their range. I hope good news finds the rest of you soon.

I was UR when I got the status checker. Pretty sure. But like I said, there was some LSAC hold-up.
