it's not surprising, but i still find it amusing that all of us still left are clustered around the same gpa/lsat points.

no one ever mentions it probably bc someone ran the data one day and found no correlation, but stanford actually has an admissions index.

Stanford = (0.018xLSAT) + (0.402xGPA) - 1.172

It's always harder when you are still in it.

Yeah, I am glad I got two visits in, too. But I feel the axe coming along.

I think you get WL if not in. And you should wait it out while depositing at CLS.

This is probably what is happening (the deposit at CLS anyway-I don't actually have any reason to believe that I will get WL or in at SLS...)

Best of luck to you! You need to get a SA in Palo Alto too so we can visit for a 3rd time.

R6, so why are you going to Berk again instead of CCN? is it because they offered you alot of money?

I can't (and frankly don't like to anyway) live in Chicago and New York. It's going to be hard to squeeze 6 people into the closet I can afford on student loans.

Really sorry you're out, r6--I agree with all that you'd have been a great classmate. You're gonna love Berkeley, though.

It's ok. Maybe something about me/my app just doesn't quite cut it in the eyes of the top top schools - which wouldn't surprise me the least bit.

Not sure if I will end up at Berkeley even though I really want to. Penn may be the CR...

o man, no movement today either? ...... actually I was at Stanford the other day and got to peek inside their admissions office. Actually, they have the worlds largest rat maze to which there are three exits. The closest exit to the start of the maze was strangely labeled reject, the second farthest waitlist, and the farthest exit said accept. I'm not sure but someone was putting a name tag or something on a rat and letting him go into the maze. When I checked back about an hour later he or perhaps it was a she ( it was from far away so I couldn't see for sure) was still watching the same rat running around in the maze. Is this how they determine what happens to us? or just coincidence that the maze is located inside the office and the exits were labeled as thus?

You want to know what's even more pathetic than people saying they're obsessed with status checking? How about being the wife and doing it on behalf of your husband? Yes, I've been creeping on this page for several months now and thought I would participate. The Huzz went under review 12/3. Still waiting. He's deciding (with my help, of course) on Sunday where we're going, whether or not we hear from Stanford by then. Eeeeeekkkk.

Text conversation with my sister in law:

Her: "Why don't you call them?"

Me: "I have. they said that I'm still in the running but they're waiting to see who accepts/declines.... It's like being sloppy seconds, basically. But I'll take it any way I can get it."

Her: "Bahahaa thata boy."

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
