Re: Stanford Law School 2011 Applicants (Pics)
Guys, I' a newcomer to this thread and have a simple question:
I submitted my SLS application in late December and it remains incomplete due to a missing Dean's Cert. Is this delay par for the course or should I be bugging my UG institution?

Probably par for the course, but at this stage in the cycle, time matters a lot. So it might not hurt to start bugging your UG (but gently!)1001ArabiaNights wrote:Guys, I' a newcomer to this thread and have a simple question:

Have you asked your UG to send it? If not, do so ASAP. Even if you have, I would check in with them. Mine got mixed up in the mail so I had to call my school and get them to resend it. Better safe than sorry, and it's getting late in the application process, so you shouldn't take any risks.1001ArabiaNights wrote:Guys, I' a newcomer to this thread and have a simple question:

Thanks for advice guys. It turned out that my paperwork was lost in bureaucratic limbo. I called and cleared things up. 1-2 week to process and then I can be sharing you guy's anxiety.whathojeeves wrote:Definitely call them.1001ArabiaNights wrote:Guys, I' a newcomer to this thread and have a simple question:

Hopefully, this mix up won't hurt my changes too much.

I've got the same problem. Applied late Dec, still reads Incomplete. I called my UG at the end of last week and they said they had it, but it was taking them a while because they have to go through a few different offices to get all the info - not that I had any discipline issues, apparently this is just their process - but they said they'd have it out shortly. App *still* reads incomplete though. Not that I have a lot of hope for SLS, but still...arghhhh1001ArabiaNights wrote:

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I bet everyone else is having similar problems completing their files. I waited a month to go complete (Dec-Jan), but that was because of a LOR.gatorgirl4life wrote:i feel your pain...i submitted 10/31 and am STILL incomplete because of that wretched form b.sanguar wrote:I've got the same problem. Still no transcript into LSAC . I'm going to go in on Monday to see what's up if it is still not in by then.

Re: Stanford Law School 2011 Applicants (Pics)
Just to add to this general conversation. After calling my UG to verify that they had sent form B, I called SLS last week to find out if they received it. After putting me on hold for a minute, the person I talked to said they had it that they would update my status. By the end of the same day my status changed from Incomplete to Submitted for Review.

Huge congratulations. Looks like you'll probably have the choice of HYS, do you have a preference yet? Best of luck with whatever you choose.Ctgrapefruit wrote:Thanks!

new to this thread, but have been lurking for a while. One thing I'm unclear about - should I have received a status checker? I submitted on 1/7 and got e-mail same day confirming receipt of app, but no status checker. E-mail just said they will contact me to let me know when my app is complete...
congrats to those already in!

Re: Stanford Law School 2011 Applicants (Pics)
Hard question....S was my original first choice. So, I was pretty excited. At this point, if I had that amazing choice, I would visit all three and decide from there. A certain school in New Haven is pretty hard to pass up. S and Y have the advantage of a smaller class size. But, everyone loves an H-bomb
Not that I've been accepted to H or Y at this point But, I will keep dreaming with the rest of them....to put things in perspective, everyone here has very high stats compared to most applicants- I have a feeling there will be more calls from Faye Deal in this forum. Though, judging from LSN, a lot may have to wait till March
