Complete on 1/26 and decision by 1/30? Flame?

Several people on LSN have reported that their decision dates are being entered into the "complete" section instead (see http://lawschoolnumbers.com/jumpinjill). Maybe that's the issue.

Phone call if acceptance, not sure for WL/rejection.

Snail mail for dings early, then emails late in the cycle last cycle. IIRC the intention was to stick to snail mail, but they ran out of time because the email stated "in the interest of time" or something to that effect.

I sent my application in with the understanding that I had less than a 5% chance of getting in. With that being said, what is the lowest gpa/lsat any one has heard of an applicant being accepted with?

I'm not sure about lowest of all time, but last year I'm pretty sure the lowest LSAT was 158, and gpa was 3.4- I'm also assuming whoever got in with 1 or both of those stats was URM...

That's pretty interesting--I was under the impression that legacies didn't really help for grad school. I kind of hope they do, though, because both my parents went to YLS (a lot to live up to, I know). However, they aren't particularly prominent in their fields and haven't given much or any money to the school, so my situation may be different. Fingers crossed for at least a little boost!

Yeah that was my thinking. Also, all I have to really do is write the 250...most of my app is as good as I can get it.

I'm really at a loss with what to do with the Yale250.

I've been advised to pick a topic that interests me but it's so difficult to address a topic properly without giving context that will drive it over 250 words.

I just took one of my entries in my blog and pruned it down to 250 words. Instant 250! I know my app will be a longshot, but I'd rather try and fail than not try at all.

Just wrote a 249 worder.

I'm going to let it sit and go back and revise it tomorrow.
It's a subject which I find interesting, but I wonder if it's one that many people have written about?
Hopefully that won't be counted against me.
