Okay, what? How do I not get ANYTHING?? I don't care if it's a rejection, I just want some closure! I'm really hurt, Yale, really hurt. Please stop ignoring me and just send the ding on out!

Went complete in mid-March, WL as of 6:40! Not looking forward to the waiting, but honestly I'm quite pleased, and I plan to wait it out until the brutal, bitter end.

So, anyone know if we'll continue to get decisions via email, or if I should expect my ding by snail mail?

Don't we all! You have some great options though, so congrats on those!

I'm rooting for all my friends on the WL!

I feel like Bela Karoyli cheering on one of his star pupils. YOU CAN DO IT!

Has anyone not heard from YLS yet? I've been checking my email all night...

My application went complete really late.

Dinged at 8:31 est. Also first rejection of the cycle. Totally expected, and I am glad I have some closure at Yale.

Fortunately for those on Yale's waitlist (which so far doesn't include me), there are quite a few deferrals every year, which I imagine offsets the high yield.

In any event, this 'deferral effect' should net to zero, since students who deferred in the past (and are attending this year) would make up for students deferring this year.

Not quite as anomalous as you might think. I'm in the same boat.

Seriously? YAY! Where have you been all my cycle?? I feel like everyone who's gotten into HLS has also gotten into CLS. Been feeling mighty unloved...

In at HLS and YLS, and I haven't heard a word from CLS.

I haven't heard a thing, and my application's been complete since mid-February. Why do you hate me so much, Yale? Maybe my ding really did get lost in the mail a while back. Maybe I'll never know! :(

Dingrd at Yale. HLS was my first choice since the beginning, so yay for no difficult decisions made for the wrong reasons!

They're sending everything out by email in the interest of time, so we don't have to deal with being notified by snail mail. At the bottom of the Waitlist email, it says a copy will also be sent by US Mail, but at that point you already know the news.

I also think not hearing back is the best position you could possibly be in right now. They're probably still trying to decide on your file, and maybe a few admit calls will go out this weekend/early next week!

I think what both sonervous and I meant is that maybe we were dinged last month, when they last mailed out letters, and that our letters never came. Asha said on her blog that all acceptances would be done by the end of this week, so I'm sure an acceptance is basically impossible at this point.

Not to be all Debbie Downer...just trying to be realistic.

They said they'd TRY to get all decisions out, but who knows. They've been known to have activity on the weekend too, no? Just trying to stay positive! If you're really worried, maybe call them next week and ask if a decision has been reached on your file.
