You might as well try it. Your LSAT is way above their median for any quarter, so you have a decent shot at convincing them, if you phrase it tactfully.
I've got 25k from SMU and my top two criteria are cost and location. Both Baylor and SMU satisfy the later. How do I tell them about SMU's offer?
What is your attraction to Baylor? After reading the posts of BLS Casualty and BLSBLSBLS, it seems the costs exceed the benefits. Perhaps a better or similar offer from SMU, or even Houston, might be a better choice?
It's close to Dallas and I was hoping to get a larger offer.

So is the general consensus that if you didn't receive a scholly offer with your admit letter you didn't get one? Got my letter regarding summer quarter today and there's no mention of $$.

In for Fall, no scholarship offer. We'll see, I guess.

*checks your stats* Hmmm, I'm kind of surprised you didn't get at least a small scholarship offer....I'd call next week and ask them.

I also don't have experience negotiating, but I definitely think you should try. I received 21k with 3.5/164...I'm surprised they didn't offer you at least that much.

I just saw that Baylor jumped 8 spots in the rankings, making it even with Houston and only a few spots behind SMU. I know rankings shouldn't be a huge influence, but it's nice to know!

Ya this is great! Impressive jump in trial ad ranking also. Only scary thing is the percent employed (its 46%)

The same thing happened to Pepperdine when Ken Starr became president there, so I guess he's working his magic on Baylor, too.

Yeah, I know. I would probably send in my deposit now and stop looking at other schools if it were even just modestly better.

Do you have a link to the % employed? and how it compares to other law schools?

Did the % employed drop from the past few years or has it always been around there?

Anyone still at Complete - No Decision Made? I've had this on my status checker since 11/23, prob not a good sign. Any thoughts?

I've been complete since 11/29. I agree, probably not good. I emailed about a month ago the admissions office about this, and they claimed I was in review.

Still nothing. I was complete 11/17. Honestly, what the fuck? I don't care about Baylor at all anymore especially after reading posts here. It would be nice to get some closure. If you are going to reject me, than fucking reject me. It's been over 4 months, I mean come on. Anyone else seriously pissed off? Baylor must be one of the slowest schools on the planet.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
