As for gin... Bleck. Tastes like pine needles.

You're a fool, Chris. Gin is delicious.

I wouldn't say scared. Just realistic about the possibility, and prepared.

I've recently found myself loving Islay Scotch whiskies after I received a bottle of Laphroaig for my birthday. Of course, I can always turn to my good friend, the gin martini.

+1 on the Macallan. Or any of the Glen's.

I haven't gotten into any of the Islay Scotches yet, but I may have to try.

Summary of things Chris drinks:
1. Scotch, neat (Macallan 18 preferred, J&B if I'm feeling poor)
2. Bourbon, rocks (Makers preferred, but typically get Jim Beam)
3. Beer (bud/bud light/mich golden for drinking games, marathon drinking, when I'm driving, any other time it depends on my mood... But usually dark beers.)
4. Vodka w/ water and lime, for when wells are the special

I'll stray from that list from time to time, but not often.

Gin is obviously the best. As for the Islays, be prepared for the peat to hit you really hard before it mellows/you get used to it.

Does anyone still need housing? If so, we have a large house about two blocks from the law school on Melrose. Rent runs about $400 per person plus utilities. You'd be living with three male 2Ls. PM me for more details.

I just can't do it. I mean, I can... But why, when I could drink whiskey instead?

Oh and Sam... Seen, not heard. Remember that.

Well, that's closer to the truth than Chris's initial statement... Take that as you will.

Well that didn't last long. Looks like Chris just got relegated to the second most desirable bachelor in this thread.

.

Hmm...I don't know about that, Tyler. As much as it PAINS me to say it, in the two days this week I have hung out with Chris and watched him canoodle with the ladies, I've got to hand it to him...he's got some game.

(I feel so bad for those poor, simple women who just don't know any better.)

Was that directed at Sam or me? I am not sure after that risqué photo you sent me at 4am.

Geez, just get a room, you three. Just as long as there's no section-cest (whenever we find that out.) That would just be weird.

section-cest is inevitable. especially in the first month. prepare for the awkward moments when someone gets caught banging someone else. looking forward to it.

How did RA positions turn out and did more than half of the new grads find employment yet?

I am a resident, but everybody that I know that is out of state got an RA position without a problem.

I can't really speak to new grads, because I don't know many of them personally. I can say that summer positions for my class didn't seem to be too much of a problem. Our OCI list isn't terribly rosy though.
