Dear Emory,
Stop sending me e-mails defending yourself and make a goddamn decision on my application that I submitted over four months ago.
Thanks!

Today, U.S. News & World Report released its annual Graduate School Rankings, including law schools. Emory Law ranks No. 30 in this year’s rankings and No. 18 in a new reputation ranking among hiring partners at the nation’s top law firms.
Emory’s move to No. 30 may be directly attributed to a change in the methodology U.S. News uses to calculate employment statistics. For example, under this new methodology, our graduates who chose to pursue further graduate education after law school were deemed unemployed. The employment numbers for the 2012 rankings are based on statistics from the Class of 2009. Our full employment report for this class is located here: http://www.law.emory.edu/career-service ... stics.html.
We have made, and continue to make, improvements in our overall strategy for assisting our students and recent graduates in their individual job searches, regardless of their career interests. We remain committed to ensuring all our graduates successfully enter the practice of law prepared to make an immediate impact.
I appreciate your patience as we make a decision on your application. As you know, we spend a great deal of time selecting and admitting which students we believe will thrive in our community. While rankings are an important factor in evaluating law schools, they are but one measure in determining which school is the best fit. I am confident that when you consider all the factors, you will realize Emory Law remains an outstanding place.
I look forward to communicating admission decisions with you soon. In the interim, you are always welcome to contact me directly at admission@law.emory.edu.
Sincerely,
Ethan Rosenzweig
Dean of Admission and Financial Aid

Haha, I am just utterly baffled by their communication timeline! Also, I have had trouble with USPS in the past, so I want to make sure it isn't kust me missing important mail.

That's weird...I'd call or email admissions about it. Maybe you're in and just haven't received your letter yet?
Also, congrats to all the recent admits!!! If you have any questions or concerns about the school, let me know!

Congrats and ditto. I was offered 75K and I also had a handwritten note, too! I applied mid January. Good luck!

Is it possible Emory upped the scholarships since the new rankings? I feel like my scholarship was high before, but now low compared to similar #'s since Monday.

I was strongly considering going to that. I eventually want to come back to DC so it'd give me a good idea about what their alumni network is up here.

Re: Emory 2011
I submitted in late January and still haven't heard anything. I didn't write a "Why Emory?" or anything, but it is one of my top choices. When would it be appropriate to give the admissions office a call/send an email? Any other advice? My stats are 173/3.2
