I have DM jan 31 too---does that mean that it's most likely a rejection or do they send out mixed decisions?

I was just looking at a photo tour of Vandy and had to share this pic. It looks so much more enjoyable than my current weather:

My status says "Decision Letter Mailed." This morning I got an email about admitted student programs. So, I don't think "Decision Letter Mailed" is necessarily bad news.

I was under the impression that is always said decision mailed or whatnot for everyone? Please someone correct me if I'm wrong!

Yeah it does. lynnford probably had a Decision Letter Mailed date, though, whereas mine, for example, is just blank.

FWIW, I had Decision Mailed and got that email before my package. I called and they said that email doesn't go out to everyone, so hopefully congratulations are in order!! :D

Damn, decision mailed 2/2 after being complete since 10/29. Hate to say it, but this is most likely a rejection for me. Anyone else DM 2/2?

I'm looking for someone who is interested in going halfsies on the embassy suites room for the Vandy ASD. Is this an appropriate thread or is there a better one. I looked, but TLS's search function blows.

Don't know when it showed up because I don't check my vandy checker that often (takes too many clicks to get to and I'm lazy), but I've got Decision Letter Mailed date 2/3. Another form of mail I can obsessively wait for now.

Any anecdotal evidence out there for what a super-quick turnaround might mean?

Hmm, I sent 1/9, got a complete 1/20. 169, 3.77 FWIW. Here's to hoping. The Georgetown waitlist hurt a bit more than I thought it would.

My application was completed on 12/21 and I got in on 1/4, so I'd think that would be a pretty quick turnaround, considering the holidays. It was an acceptance, so I'd imagine that a quick turnaround would probably be an acceptance, barring some extremely low numbers or horrible application.

In other words, best of luck!

Here's what I'm choosing to believe. And yes, I've sort-of got my hopes up. Our numbers definitely aren't auto-reject. So it's doubtful that they took one look at us and said "no way!". So quick turnaround likely doesn't mean rejection. Also, I doubt that there's a quick turnaround time for waitlists (is there such a thing as an auto-waitlist applicant?). Thus, we must be admits! :-D

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
