It's not just for people who are waiting. I think it's an auto-send. I got one, and was accepted over a week ago.stlisforlovers wrote:I applied in early November, and they sent one then. And then another one arrived yesterday. Maybe they just send one out to everyone who's waiting.

According to LSN, the only people with decisions are those who have been accepted. People have been accepted who have gone UR after me.
Therefore, I am, at best, a WL.

You may be, but if you look at LSN the people with lower scores they didnt accept until early to mid january regardless of when they applied. I've too been skipped over, but im holding out hope for an early january acceptance.Gemini Hopeful wrote:According to LSN, the only people with decisions are those who have been accepted. Did you guys do interviews?
Mine was with a member of the admissions staff and she told me they review the applications for those who interview first.

Yeah I did. My interviewer was really nice and said she could really see my desire to attend and would definitely give a very strong recommendation.Bela wrote:Did you guys do interviews?

Anybody have an idea as to how much should be or historically has been written for each question on the Law School Scholars Application?

I'm hoping to make visits to the schools I'm accepted to and then make my decision. There is a lot to love about Vanderbilt though!ksimon2007 wrote:Congrats. Do you plan to attend?sarahlawg wrote:sent 11/22 and in via FedEx package today! yayyy

I honestly did not have Vanderbilt on my list to attend because I did not see myself getting in, but I have grown to love the school from reading about it...I am a southerner at a small liberal arts school so they're whole friendly, southern vibe is really attractive to mesarahlawg wrote:I'm hoping to make visits to the schools I'm accepted to and then make my decision. For the people who have toured Vandy already… about how long did your tour take? I feel like mine was a bit short...

Has anyone received merit scholly $$ and did it come with the acceptance package? If so, what were your numbers?

Same here. I finally went through everything I got in the admissions package and it was very persuasive - especially the "play hard, work hard" mentality. It's definitely near the top of my list.seancooksey07 wrote:I have to say that the more I research, the more impressed and interested in Vandy I'm becoming. As someone who is definitely has a primary interest in a clerking, I was really surprised how well that they place students. And if I get a good scholarship, that combined with their programs and clerkships, I don't really see how I could choose it over a much more expensive school with only slightly better clerk placement.

Re: Vanderbilt 2011
Vandy's topping my personal list right now specifically because of their customized joint degree option. The Peabody College of Education and Human Development is the #1 education school in the country, and since I have had a pretty deep and abiding interest in education and ed policy (presented at conferences and such) during undergrad, I'd love to be Dr. Softsgalore, Esq. and combine my interests.
