Hmm I don't think so. You could always just close the window and clear the browser's cookies.

I had decision mail date at 12/09 and was pretty nervous, but then I realized no one has been rejected this early yet via mail (at least not that I know of). I got the FedEx package today and was accepted! I am sure you will be accepted if you have something mailed already.

Damn. Applied 10/20, have a strong connection to the school, good numbers for the school, wrote a Why Vanderbilt, and nothing. I didn't do an interview because I heard it was more for the applicants benefit than the school, and I already know several alumni and current students, so I didn't find it necessary. Is that what's hurting me? Not that it's anywhere near time to panic or anything, it's just that a lot of others are hearing.

Edit: Sorry, that all sounded incredibly entitled, like I expected and think I deserve to get into Vanderbilt and am offended to not have gotten in yet. That's not how I meant it. I just love the school and am eager to get. Not that anyone probably cared...

Just checked my status,.. Decision mailed 12/13. I didn't interview because, to be honest I was too lazy but I figured my why vandy would help. I'm hoping I'm not the first rejection of the cycle.

haha sweet.... I actually followed your example and really beefed up my applications list. why not I guess. Although now that I'm getting acceptances, some of those apps seem a little silly. But who knows what school may give me a really compelling offer. It only takes one!

Yeah, now that I've gotten a few really sweet financial offers from a few schools I feel like some of my apps were unnecessary. But you never know till after the fact and I'd rather err on the side of caution! Glad I was a positive influence and I hope your wide net casting pays off!

They are sent 2 day fed-ex, so if your decision mail date is yesterday the admit package should arrive sometime tomorrow. FWIW, mine arrived in the afternoon.

The website says it can take up to 7 days. Do you know if the package size is any indication of acceptance or rejection? You got in so I guess you can only speak to an admitted student's package size?

It probably is? but i don't think anyone has received a wl/ding yet so I don't know. The admit packet was in a fed ex box and had a LOT of papers in it including a ~200 page vandy info book.
