Why such a difference in your LSDAS and reported GPA?

Hold a prime time press conference on ESPN. Say, "If Minnesota doesn't change their mind, I'm taking my talents to South Beach."

Rejected via email 2/25. First one of the cycle, doesn't feel good.

Those of you in the recent wave of admits, wait lists, and dings over the last couple days, what were your UR dates please? I had a UR on 2/3 and a 2/23 so i am wondering why i was spared for the weekend.

I'm still IR 2/3, and that was my first IR date. So it looks like they not necessarily grouping based on timeline.

They are holding your application because you aren't attractive enough to admit but not so bad as you're a wait list / reject. You have a decent chance of being admitted, but you might have to go to committee a few more times before they have a idea of their class and whether or not they should admit you given your #'s and softs.

They don't group by timeline as others imply. Hence it was 6 days for me to hear back from the adcoms and 3 months for others.
If you're an auto admit candidate or particularly attractive they will admit you after your first review. If they think they can get someone better they will hold your application until later in the cycle (multiple IR dates) and then they will accept you.
If they don't think you will attend or are convinced they can find someone better to commit and attend (A splitter or below median candidate) they will wait list you-- sometimes after multiple review dates, sometimes after 1.
If you have 10 felony convictions, are way below their medians, or write your personal statement in crayon they will reject you. Usually after 1 or 2 review dates.

So I should expect another IR date being that I probably would have received a rejection by now if that was the case?

I'll be there and most likely attending in fall. I hear great things about Minneapolis, but it seems a lot of people who have never lived there are afraid of the cold. Good thing for me.

Wish I could go, but work/bills prohibited it. I'm gonna try for April, but for now, Google Earth and first-hand accounts of the proceedings will have to suffice.

Glad someone else uses Google Earth this way.

What is everyone wearing to ASW? The email we got today says that there is no dress code, but I kind of feel like it's still not appropriate to wear anything less than business casual. Even on my informal visit to W&M I was the most dressed-down person on the tour in khakis and a cardigan.

I've been in review since 12/23 with no changes. Anybody know what's up with that?

It's a little odd, but certainly not unprecedented. On LSN you'll see the occasional person who had an epic wait.
I am a bit surprised that your IR dates haven't changed at all, though.
