My third review date just changed to wait listed... Can't say I'm shocked, numbers are low for Minnesota. Guess I'll be sending in a LOCI in the next couple of days.

You were YP'd, hands down. Look at their LSN graph, only like 5% of applicants with a 170 and higher WEREN'T waitlisted. It's blatant, and embarrassing imho. YP isn't inherently bad, but when it's that obvious, it's sad.

That said, write an LOCI if Minnesota is your top choice, and they should pull you off with some $$ pretty quickly, I'd imagine.

Seconded. The phone call sure is a nice touch. Haven't gotten an email yet but we should be getting one...soon?

Not if you have below a 167...

...From anecdotal evidence either, but it's pretty convincing.

IR 1/21 > 2/11...

Not expecting much at this point, but at least I'm still in the game...

I'm looking forward to UMN. Their YP has weeded out the competition that would have killed me on the curve.

If you are over 169 and apply to a higher ranked school than Minnesota, they will most likely wait list you.

If Minnesota is your top school and you have 169 or below they will accept you and likely give you money.

And effing stupid at that. I would have gladly gone there over Iowa... But am now glad that I'm taking a full-ride plus lower cost of living at Iowa.

FWIW, the only higher ranked school I applied to was WUSTL. I just think it's silly that my 171 barred me from admission at UMN... I mean, I HAD to kill it on the LSAT to make up for my GPA, since most schools probably didn't bother to read my GPA addendum (legit reasons, I promise.)

Yeah, I don't think that's necessarily true, though my GPA is pretty low.

Just got in via email! Thrilled about the acceptance and the scholarship offer ($22k a year, 2.5 GPA stipulation). Now I'm just wondering how hard is it to become a resident of Minnesota.

Are you international?

Residency is hard. Aside from marrying a resident, you probably won't be able to unless you currently live in Minnesota.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
