birD do you have good softs and LORs?

I think I have above average LORs and average softs, I'm still in undergrad so I don't have any WE or anything...

Good luck with your cycle too :D

Are acceptances being sent out too, or is "decision rendered" on 11/30 a bad thing :?

No one knows. I mean, you can't expect a handful of posts on TLS to tell you whether or not a "decision rendered" is a good thing or a bad thing. :)

Think of it this way: at least you'll know soon!

And also: you have the coolest avatar most people have ever seen, so in a way, you've already won.

I think it's safe to say that "decision rendered" at this point (i.e., updated to "decision rendered" last week) is a bad thing.

I wish there were evidence to the contrary, but so far, all applicants who had "decision rendered" last week ended up rejected (or have splitter/below-median numbers which suggest a pending rejection).

Like I said, I wish I were wrong, and it would be relieving to see an acceptance from this batch, but it seems unlikely.

Makes me think an outright rejection is in the mail for me as well... both numbers slightly above 75s so it's a little surprising, but oh well, all good :)

It doesn't look like BC has rejected many people they would have indiscriminately accepted last year. Then again, the sample at this point is far too small to draw any meaningful conclusions.

Does anyone know how people who got accepted last year heard? Was it through email/status checker or the snail mail letter?

Or was it by phone call?

Exactly. There are, what, six applicants on there? Out of the how-many-thousands that applied?

So I'm on hold - I submitted 2 LORS (they require 2, recommend 2, accept 3) and 0 Evaluations (they require 0, recommend 2, and accept 3) does it make more sense for me to submit another LOR or an evaluation? or is the stupid and does it not matter at all?

Maybe you should send in a couple evaluations since they technically "recommend" two of them. Beyond a LOCI and visiting the campus though, I don't think there's anything else to do but wait.

Best of luck!

I thought they could only potentially hurt me, but I'm at/above median for BC, so I didn't think it was necessary. Since you're a more borderline applicant and have been WL'd, it could very well work to your advantage at this point.

Talking to an admissions officer from BC in october, she indicated they werent exactly sure how they were going to view the evaluations. The reason why she said they are "recommending" two, is to have some sort of ability to compare the opinions your professors have on you, since the questions are more numbers driven (example: is this student in the top 10% of the students you have taught- or something to that effect).

She did not make them sound too crucial, and I was already done with all my apps and did not want to go and have to get something else that would delay my submission, so i didnt submit any evals.

Man that sucks. They seem to be rather hard to impress this cycle! They're starting out with all these rejections... :( And your LSAT is good for them!

I was complete since 10/5. I submitted pretty much as soon as the app was available.

Yea, not what I was hoping for, but it just means there are better options out there.

(gotta tell myself that at least)
