I wouldn't give up hope, people. I would find it highly unusual if they only rejected people in this first batch. It's likely a mix, and it's probably the people who submitted the earliest. It would be useful if people mention when they submitted their applications so we could test that idea (I know some of you did).

Well, I've been under review since 10/5. Not that I really expect to get in, but I am on a roll with other apps thus far.

Hmm... I'm not too sure if this is the case. I submitted my app in the first few days of Oct, it went complete on 10/12, and I've been UR since 11/9.LSATNightmares wrote:I'm in the exact same boat as you (162 LSAT, 3.85 GPA), but I didn't get a 3-5 day notice today. So, it certainly seems that they are picking individuals based on something else than their completion date.
Edit: Also, I find it interesting that they updated everyone's status at roughly the same time, early in the morning. This makes it seem like they completed one batch of decisions and processed them all at once. If BC completed another batch today, it's possible that we might get another mass update tomorrow morning.

Just realized that I got emailed the status checker LOL. Anyway, I submitted on 11/12 and I've been under review at least since 11/19 (which is the date that is there right now).

Re: Boston College Applicants Thread
I was looking at the decision date charts TLS did earlier this year, and it seems as if a bunch of decisions were made on December 3 last year. They were either acceptances or rejections, with slightly more acceptances than rejections. It appears there were no waitlists. Maybe we'll see a similar trend this year, especially since BC came out with that 3-5 day notice earlier this week.

That peak between Dec 2 and Dec 4 doesn't mean december 3rd, it means the 3rd week of december, fwiw.LSATNightmares wrote:I was looking at the decision date charts TLS did earlier this year, and it seems as if a bunch of decisions were made on December 3 last year. coastguard and deuce, how do your numbers compare to BC's medians? a couple days ago, it seemed that the only people (myself included) with decisions rendered thus far are those with lower numbers, i.e. likely rejections.

That is surprising. Did you write any optional essays or why BC essay?SilverE2 wrote:Rejected today via mail. 3.5/168. A bit surprised but eh, whatever.
Looks like there might be something to this initial round being rejections and/or waitlists.

Did you write in the wrong school name or something??

Re: Boston College Applicants Thread
Hey, I'll respond to both posts above, I just went over my application and there was nothing wrong with it, I didn't write the wrong school name or anything. I didn't write a why BC, so maybe that could be it, but I don't know... I've already been accepted to BU, Fordham and WUSTL...so I don't think there is anything wrong with my application. Maybe they just didn't like me?
I don't think it's YP either, I looked at LSN and BC doesn't really seem to YP much if at all. So yeah, I dunno.
