Wait list email today which also asked if I wanted to be considered for the may start program. Said yes to both the wait list and may start consideration. Its actually better than expected given my numbers. I guess they don't totally hate me, PM if interested in my stats.

Does anyone have any information on the Alabama? I can't seem to find any pictures/prices about it (unless I'm not looking hard enough).. I wonder if most students live here during 1L or if most end up subletting apartments in the area..

There's a picture through the admitted students site, in housing.pookie wrote:Does anyone have any information on the Alabama? I've spoken to a bunch of people who have opinions on it. Most say that if you live there, it's just for the first year.
I know one person who had a bad roommate (random RM) and they let her move out.
On the phone, I talked to someone who had a really good time and said it's nice because it's a dorm setting, so there's a lounge and it's easy to talk to people. It's also right across from the school. of course, on the flip side, you're surrounded by your peers so if it's really competitive, that might be a bit much.
The set up is basically 2 singles, a common room, kitchen and bathroom - they also have studios... don't think there are other options. Someone else said it's a little too sterile/dorm style, so not much room for personal flavor, especially since they give you the furniture. I've heard it's more expensive than some apartments you can find nearby.
All of that said, I'm considering living there. I don't have other plans set up (in terms of living with friends from home/school in the city), so regardless I'd probably need a "random" roommate... in that case, the Alabama is the most convenient, unless I can find a place through CU's find a roommate 'program.'

Yeah, not too surprising. Why the hell is Hastings so far down on that list?Stringer6 wrote:12%

No activity on my app since 2/23. I'm going a little crazy here! Cardozo may be my top choice, but I'm not sure if it's just because they're playing hard to get with me.

Nothing since my first complete date 2/8, so don't feel too bad.abonda01 wrote:No activity on my app since 2/23. I'm going a little crazy here! Cardozo may be my top choice, but I'm not sure if it's just because they're playing hard to get with me.

Does anyone know the May entry start date? I know it's either the second or third week in May but I can't remember which. It's not in the acceptance package. I'm trying to solidify some travelling plans with friends for May but obviously will opt out if I have class lol

May 17th is the orientation for the summer program, but there still is not an official start date for classes.
I went into "complete and under review" on 2/4 and still haven't heard. I check about 800 times per day.

In with 40k/yr. I was in shock on the phone and don't think I came across as excited as I really am.

I applied 1/10 and had been in review since 1/11. Soo, yeah, it was quite a long wait.kostina wrote:when did you guys apply? i'm still waiting (complete 2/9) and getting a bit anxious.
Edit for pertinent info: I also sent in a LOCI late last week. You may want to try that.

What did your LOCI say? Why Dozo, etc? Or did you have new pertinent info (I have none).aaaaaah wrote:I applied 1/10 and had been in review since 1/11. Soo, yeah, it was quite a long wait.kostina wrote:when did you guys apply? i'm still waiting (complete 2/9) and getting a bit anxious.

I also applied 1/18. In review 2/8 (my undergrad school had to send another form, so I was incomplete for about two weeks.)mcgillgrad10 wrote:Applied 1/18kostina wrote:when did you guys apply? i'm still waiting (complete 2/9) and getting a bit anxious.

Re: Cardozo 2011
Yeah, it was really just "Why Dozo." I do think it was a pretty strong "Why?" essay though. I was just worried about YP after people with similar #s get WL'd.kostina wrote:What did your LOCI say? Anyone put on the "hold" list? I wonder when they'll send out acceptances or dings from this one.
